Biography

Meet Princess Nagisa, who hails from Nishikigoi Teikoku, an aquatic empire dominated by a specific race of Merfolk who resemble koi fish. Nagisa isn't expected to become empress; she's the youngest of the currently-reigning emperor and empress consort's 3 children. Her oldest brother, the crown prince to the throne, already has issue (children). So, with Nishikigoi's future secure and set-in-stone, Nagisa is hopeful to marry off to another royal realm. Good thing she received an invitation from Spellbyndell to meet Prince Lumin! Nagisa is a fiery soul, full of life and emotion. She loves meeting people, which is why she wants to continue royal duties in some way; if her duties aren't needed in Nishikigoi, maybe her one true love's realm could use her? Growing up as a royal has made Nagisa develop quite an impression on herself; she believes she is incredibly special and destined for greatness, which is why she feels so angry when she experiences trivial problems such as the hot sun, uncomfortable furniture, or even something as tiny as a hangnail... A princess such as herself, a royal dedicated to the people, should never have to experience such annoyances! Nagisa also expects that folks acknowledge her importance in the world. She expects that if she is to serve society, society should also serve her. It's a two-way street for Nagisa and a system she believes is fair. She loves it when people compliment her, tell her how amazing she is, and she loves being rewarded for her royal duties with gifts such as high-quality food, treats, or other expensive gifts. Her egotistical beliefs are to the point that she's expecting this type of treatment from others. Nagisa's favorite activities are singing and dancing, which she is quite proficient at. She is also well-studied from being a royal and has skills in research & debate, charisma, comedy, and logic. Nagisa is eager to meet Prince Lumin and see if he is her one true love. Will Nagisa be the one to carry on Spellbyndell's kingdom and legacy?

(Disclaimer: I am not Japanese nor do I speak Japanese. I have taken the time to research these names to the best of my ability so they can be accurate and appropriate. "Nishikigoi Teikoku" is meant to literally translate to "brocaded carp (koi) empire" in English (so hopefully that's right). If you see anything here that's wrong, please don't hesitate to lmk!)
