District Seven's male tribute: a man who was characterized by his quiet strength and befuddling aloofness. With his head spent high above the highest tree-tops, his goals, intentions, and desires were always suspect. Tacitus Constantine finished in (classfied) during the 70th Annual Hunger Games.

[ A little vain for sure but I ended up making a mix of the songs that were on TAC's page at one point or another. I invite everyone who's looking for some new jams, or actually liked any of TAC's music to give it a download. It's 10 tracks of deliciously somber music that I hope you all enjoy. (: ]

mellisuga helenae feat. [ tac ]
During that precious moment, just before life's candle found itself distinguished, most would find themselves rehashing their lives as it unfolded. To some, it was described as their 'lives flashing before their eyes'. They would recall the most important things in their lives including, but not limited to, their family and loved ones, their trying circumstances, their momentous victories, etc.
It's safe to say victory wouldn't have brought the man any satisfaction. Tacitus Constantine would never rest until his heart stopped.
And it did.
The blow to such a fragile area of his body was more than enough to end his struggle. His lifeless body clung to Atlas' dual tridents, blood pouring out from the areas of impact. His neck now convulsed lifelessly, akin to an accordion. It was a gruesome sight, to be sure.
. . .
His fight was over and now his opportunity to bask in eternal, true victory was set to begin.

FACE-OFF: Atlas & Tac
CAPITOL: Both attacks are successful. The sand hits Atlas in the face just as the prongs of the trident cause Tac's knees to buckle and fall to the ground. Atlas's turn.
ATLAS: Atlas didn't react quickly enough to shield his eyes from the spray of sand that flew towards his face. Letting out an angry shout he blinked hard and squinted through the grime -- sand in the eyes was no new sensation for him. With a fluid motion, as the other boy went down, Atlas flicked flick his wrist and cast out his net (keeping hold of one end in case he needed to drag the net or the boy back) and slammed down his trident with the other hand.
TAC: The pain surged from the back of his left knee and ran all the way up and through his entire body, easily shadowing the pain from his sprained ankle. He felt onto his knees. With Atlas' shout as a confirmation of his successful attack, he faced Atlas and planted his right foot against the ground and dislodged the great trident from his bleeding leg with a great (yet painful) yank. He whipped then whipped it up and towards the Atlas, but more importantly, the net.
CAPITOL: Disregarding the last post, Atlas, the trident sinks down into the back of Tac's left thigh, and the deep wound makes Tac's pulse falter somewhat when he brings the sword up. It slashes through the right side of Atlas's bodysuit, ripping it and drawing a cut, not too deep. The trident is still piercing Tac's leg to the sand. Atlas's turn.
ATLAS: Letting out a pained shout, Atlas's body jerked as the sword cut into the side. It was hot and he could already feel the blood trickling down his side, which only further angered him. Baring his teeth and clenching his jaw tight, Atlas released the net, opting to reach back for his second trident and drive it toward Tac's throat as he leaned his body weight into the trident lodged in the boy's thigh.
TAC: He grit his teeth in response to the pain he felt from the pressure from the trident lodged in his thigh. Predicting a counter-strike at such close proximity, TAC grasped his short sword with two hands with a mighty grip and threw his sword up and ahead of him to parry and possibly even deflect Atlas's imminent counterattack.

FACE-OFF: Atlas & Tac
CAPITOL: Tac's first movement is to turn and start running back North towards the jungle, and Atlas decides to run over and attack him, and so a chase begins. Since Atlas is the attacker, he will go first. Please start your post from where you left off the last one.
ATLAS: With a final glance at Vita, Atlas took off after the half blind kid holding a sword. He was used to the sand and it was easy for him to sprint across it but, of course, the guy started retreating back to what was left of the woods. Net ready in one hand and trident #1 in the other, Atlas ran after him as fast as he could, always glancing around every few steps to keep out for any surprises. Unwilling to throw one of his precious tridents, Atlas waited until he thought he was close enough to the boy before using the length of the trident to swing the prongs (from his blind side) at the back of his knees and hopefully knock him over.
TAC: Without an answer from the other male, he figured his best move was to head into familiar territory, i.e. the woods behind him, but not without a little ace up his sleeve. Before taking off, he grabbed a handful of sand in his left hand. Far more alert to sounds than most others, the sound of steps transitioning from sand to underbrush alerted him of another's presence. Upon seeing Atlas, he whipped the hand of sand straight for his face before setting his sights on a claimable tree.

So. . . Titus is alive, but. . who else? He looked over his shoulder for a split second before returning his stare to Titus. TAC's hard look and firm stature easily drove the point home that, like a wounded animal, he would be on attack mode if provoked. ``..which tributes are behind me," he asked, trusting Titus' eyes more so than his own.

Startled was the most mild way TAC could describe his awakening. This was far more intense then when he watched the island began to sink into the sea back in the jungle; this was far more horrifying than watching the jungle burn up in the distance. Despite obviously being tired, groggy, and a terribly exhausted, survival instinct jolted his body awake akin to the sensation he felt during the parade. It was like his body was electrocuting him awake.
He leaped to his feet to get an idea of the idea of what was happening, but he didn't have the time to even begin to register what was happening before his feet spoke ahead of his mind, it was time to go and he didn't have a second to spare. The earth would literally swallow the tribute beneath him.
He wouldn't go out that way, he couldn't he wouldn't allow himself to be simply swallowed without a fighting chance. He brought himself back to his training. Three days of The Gauntlet helped his speed, and to cope with the reality of the rapidly crumbling earth beneath him, he sprinted frantically to the south towards the Cornucopia.
Mind couldn't register his journey up until now; his mind couldn't register anything but escape, that was until he spotted weaponry before him. He couldn't see the selection he had to choose from, but he could see their shiny reflections in the sun. Call it over-zealousness, but TAC reared towards the weapons, snatched something, and continued his full on sprint away from the crumbling earth. He felt himself close to stumbling sometimes due to the earth's mega vibrations, but he pushed forward regardless, eyes set forward as he ran for his life.
