Bjorn looks at the baby as if she was all he ever wanted. Only to grow neglectful after Porunn leaves. She reminds him too much of her mother. And the older she grows, the more he hates to look at her.

Porunn looks at her baby in fear and shame. Shame that she failed as a Shieldmaiden, fear that Siggy will turn out like her. Seeing her after all these years was hard. Especially when she looked so much like she once used to.
