CONBODY
The question becomes how does Conbody protect the community.
The great advantage of prison is the reform. Offenders of a bellicose and rebellious nature, invariably do end up resisting those choices.
However, there were never any psychological or teleological efficacy to that end. Reform, therefore is an aleatory offshoot of our current penal system.
Prison, in design, were a simple collection to subjugate and punish all the bad people in one hole. Reform evolved when the bad people lost so much self respect, decency, empathy and humanity that prisons became an environment so violent and deprecating that folks would do everything to avoid it.
Prison is an historic and draconian simple minded solution, so outdated, so benign in principle, so counter productive for any culture simply because the boogie man is not real. People in prison are not necessarily bad people, they have at some point followed paths, had life lead them into bad decisions, and for a time been removed from the good nature of humanity that we all inherently possess and share.
Prison may be a community of violent and toxic rejects, but how does that rehabilitate anyone. Typically offenders are already violent, they have a penchant for those outcomes, and rather, prison becomes a training ground.
The brutality of prison is not in the physical threat of its occupants. Prisons brutality is colder.
Prison has the unheralded ability to strip people of identity, empathy, confidence, compassion, self. Prison tears away the symbiotic union with the whole.
Prison tears away people's evolution of interpersonal growth with loved ones, with others, grasp of our social narrative, with higher ideals.
Prison reaffirms the severed bonds with community.
Conbody works to heal those debilitated and deformed processing errors. Conbody works to reinstall community values, interpersonal communication, trust and faith. It begins to restore community spirit on a friendly shoulder and all the while developing skills and training in sustainable ongoing employment allowing the platform for positive and confident reintegration.
Conbody produces fields of experience smoothing the transition from offender to offsider. Conbody builds the offender up from the inside to the out, literally.

CONBODY
As the law stands released offenders don't ever have to be forgiven, but more so, the law states when they have paid back restitution, been punished accordingly, have rehabilitated and therefore am no longer a threat to our society they can be released into the community and reconnoitred for the rest of their parole period. Furthermore in Queensland life sentences prisoners will only be free of penal servitude three days after death. Some could argue, that is still too soon.
In moving forward, our laws state upon release our male offenders will be emancipated, in all due respect, not emasculated.
Released offenders, male and female, face many hurdles upon release. Given that sentences are not invoked by society, but rather from their own dereliction and rebellion, it is the easy argument to hold that they should be left to account for ourselves.
The problem with that plan is already actioned, and evidence of that plan continuously reported. Offenders are 1% of your community and 99% of Queensland prisoners will return to the very same community.
As recent study suggests, offenders are being released without viable support to succeed. As it is offenders are being released with some self manifested hurdles and the socially manifested roadblocks. They suffer from humiliation, embarrassment, guilt, addiction, anxiety, abnormalities that may have been initiated in our youth. Additionally they suffer from external abnormalities, such as stigma, bias, prejudice, all very inherent qualities that our society continually oppose.
These inherent qualities largely can be be blamed on historical media projections, who continually warn against the dangers of released offenders. An unwarranted bias and prejudice to ultimately envelop numbers of avid and repeat watchers. That is to say, the continual splash of jazz journalism of past does very little to protect our citizens, only cuddle the parties into one singular ideal. Be afraid.
But, the news is not THE NEWS, it is some news, and its not really even new. The concept behind jazz journalism does work, small to large pockets of our society show up every night for the latest splash but the reality is not as stark. For most we are tired with the same news, and the reason is we are all out in our communities doing our best. There are so many stories of people doing great things in our community that do not get the same scope.
One of those groups of people is Conbody. These people work tirelessly, sometimes two and three jobs to create a space where released offenders can have some hope of succeeding.
While it may seem that we are under constant threat from Gotham hoodlums, in fact we are not. Our released offenders are singers, dancers, academics, journalists, neighbours, fire fighters, mothers, children, we are Presidents, Sir Nelson Mandela, entrepreneurs, Sir Richard Branson, and leaders,  Sir Martin Luther King.
We are human.
For the most part offenders are accepted by people back into the community. Many of the hurdles are inherent, and manifested from their own biases. However, they have only had themselves and their families to gossip amongst, machinating comfort in their isolated and self segregated groups, their kind, the tainted. It's only when we step out of the cave do we see for ourselves. For many this step can be too much and a sidle back into rebellious circles, gangs, crime and ultimately the safety of prison is not a giant leap.
Conbody overcome these problems by initiating bonds with prisoners inside prison and following through with that first promise. Bonds that for many have been well severed and do need lasting regeneration to heal. Conbody begin training for real time responsibility and employable sustainability, rehabilitation toward a full and symbiotic reintegration and ongoing friendships.
How do I know? I served two decades in maximum security prisons for violent offences. I reinforce that violence was the only option some people have as young people, Conbody offers better options, viable options, sustainable options, and it all starts with friends, within a community. Conbody, making giant leaps with small steps. Changing globally by acting locally. #dothetime
