Walking in a circle. Forward or back. If you see you are going to collide w/person in front of you, put your arms out to prevent a collision

--trusting all walkers in it to catch one another

--activity of maintaining graphic of the circle so you know someone will catch you.

resumes

Resumes. Collect resumes from different dancers. All different types of resumes with names of the dancers removed. Possibly interesting way of mapping a community. Interactions and connections. Mapping where and when people danced in the same context, worked at the same organization. The resumes tell a story.

tourist cut outs

Tourist gimmick photo cut out project. Paint large pieces of cardboard with abstracted human forms. cut the faces out. Take photos of people in them. Maybe something with conceptions of dancers. Paint abstract renderings of stereotypes of dancers, use them as the cut outs.

Type same thing in lots of different languages and observe how my auto correct handles it. Translate all of the outcomes. Found poem.

graphic scores

Graphic scores. Really complicated graphic scores. That account for like all aspects of the dance. The dance is really simple. The moving body becomes the content rather than the medium. The image is metaphor for the action of the body. Action is not a metaphor for anything else.

Cardboard out of a human figure in action. I physically manipulate the cut out figure, make it go places and do things. My action or it's action ambiguously the protagonist.

symmetry

Symmetry. About time. Two dancers start on opposite sides of a space, gazing at each other. Symmetrical movement moving toward each other’s gaze. Arrive at center of the space. Live in that space of center. Can dialogue there. Let the symmetrical movement go at center because center is a single point already--it has no symmetrical counter part. Before center aim to be symmetrical with eyes, embodiment. Let that go at center.

Create paintings of dance scores. Sell them. The paintings embed the movement and different mediums/works can signify different aspects of the scores.

Create gifs or jpgs of scores of dance pieces. But the image files can be more about the scores than about the actual dance. Is it ontologically a score or an image? The image file comes before the dance. The dance is an exploration of the image file.
