It's insane what you can learn from the mouth. You can detect atherosclerosis of the carotid through a pano and hopefully save someone from a stroke. My professor found metastatic lung cancer the patient was unaware of presenting as an abscess at the apex of a tooth. You can detect gardners syndrome before it turns into colorectal cancer (which is close to 100% of the time). The list goes on and on.
