¢υяισυѕ ¢υιѕιиє ☁ Ace
connectingrain asked: "Hello, sir! Would you like to participate in a taste test? The Ouran high school cooking club is holding a contest, and I thought it would be fun to enter, so I've made this new dip! It's avocado, with fried pickles mixed in." Orihime beamed hopefully at the male, carrying a tray with the dip and some panko fried pickle chips on the side.
That certainly piqued his interest, immediately coming to a halt as Ace whipped his head in the female’s direction. "Taste test, huh? Sounds pretty interesting, miss. I’m sure this’ll taste just fine." Nothing could possibly go wrong when food was involved right? And it was free, so why not take advantage? Plus, he was pretty hungry and was in need of something to eat. He was actually in the mood to try something new. This was a golden opportunity. The brief description of the new dip caused him to blink but he didn’t let that unnerve him. It was a unique combination alright. Which made this better. As a matter of fact, he was now more eager than ever to try it out.
"Alright, time to give this a go." Taking a chip, dipping it and tossing it into his mouth, he chewed and chewed, savoring it, quirking his brow at the interesting flavor. Ace finally managed to pass it down, smirking widely as he launched a hand up, giving her a thumbs up. "Has a bit of a strange aftertaste. O-Oh no I meant strange as in a good kinda strange. Least to me. Mind if I try another one— or twenty?"

Orihime was delightfully surprised that the male reacted positively to the offer. She'd already been turned down by no less than twenty people. Imagine! Until this moment, she was beginning to wonder if the recipe was any good at all. It had certainly seemed appetizing to her, and she'd enjoyed it a great deal when she'd tested it herself during the initial trial and error period, so her belief in the validity of her own tastes was slowly beginning to descend.
However! Not only did this man seem to be willing to try her dish, but he hadn't turned green, nor had he vomited straight away as one other had not too long ago! He even seemed eager, and that thought caused her to perk up even more.
"Oh, please!" She encouraged, pressing the tray closer to him so he had better access to it, leaning in to watch his expression anxiously.
'S-Strange...?' Now that he mentioned it, it did have a...!
Just as a disheartened pout began to form across her face, he continued to speak, and immediately she beamed once more.
Barely resisting the urge to jump up and down in excitement and risk upsetting the careful arrangement of the dishes on the tray, thus spilling the food onto the ground, Orihime replied happily, "Oh, you really mean it...?! I'm very glad that you think so! You're more than welcome to have as many as you like...In fact, I'm feeling a bit peckish myself, so if you don't mind, we can certainly share the rest!"
The idea made her happy; it had been too long since she'd shared a meal with another besides her oba-san, especially one that she had prepared herself. Her eyes sparkled in excitement as she awaited his response.

There was one thing to be said for the (former?) Espada: his presence was certainly intimidating. No matter how much time she had spent in his company during her imprisonment in Hueco Mundo, the intensity of his gaze could still send a shiver of awareness down her spine. He might not be a being that she feared any longer, but he was still dangerous, and it would be remiss of her to overlook that fact.

"-- Do you call yourself 'the spider', ...Ulquiorra?" Orihime questioned softly, unsure if she expected him to actually clarify his statement, or if she were just acknowledging his insinuation.
'So, he must have a reason for being here...But it doesn't seem as if he truly means harm.' Because if he had, no doubt he would have already acted upon his intentions by now. They were alone, the few lingering students having vanished sometime during the lengthy silence that had fallen. She was well aware that no matter how her strength had increased during the time since Ulquiorra's defeat, her own abilities would pale in comparison to his. He knew this fact as well, and yet he had not taken advantage of the situation. Orihime wanted to believe the best in everyone, and she decided that even he (or, perhaps, especially he) deserved the benefit of the doubt.
For the time being.
"Hm~ I see. If that's the case, then..." His stance did not go unnoticed by her, further increasing her belief that all was well, at least for the moment. She relaxed marginally, though her brown eyes remained wary. "Do you attend the Academy as well...? Or are you otherwise occupied?"
It felt...odd, to be attempting small talk with Ulquiorra Cifer, here at Ouran Academy, of all places. Stranger still was the mere thought of the mighty Cuarta Espada as a 'normal' student. She couldn't repress the laughter bubbling up inside her quick enough, and a small giggle escaped at the image of the male in a sailor fuku, sitting in a small desk not unlike the ones in her former elementary school. Her mind conjured up the most interesting of scenarios, sometimes!
Chance Encounter-- For better or worse?
Ulquiorra stood in place, silent and unwavering. I wasn’t aware I spoke loud enough for anybody to hear me.. Before taking a step towards the stairs, Ulquiorra couldn’t help but reflect on what just transpired; he couldn’t help but notice the shock in Orihime’s face. No doubt she was bewildered with his presence here, especially after his deadly encounter with Ichigo back in Hueco Mundo. Although his appearance here in Bunkyo was not by chance, or by choice, and even though he had a few loose ends to clean up after, he did often ponder the very things Orihime was probably pondering right now. For that fraction of a second to where her gaze met his, it was apparent to Ulquiorra what her initial thought was.
Finally moving forward down the stairs with a purposeful and rigid stride, he came to stand just before Orihime. He didn’t say anything just yet; before there would be any of that, he needed to further ascertain his surroundings. One could never be too careful, and although he knew he had nothing to fear from anyone, he was also familiar with Orihime’s abundance of friends This was not the time for his presence to go noticed by them.
Still standing before her, his eyes bore into hers.
"Does a spider exist for any other reason to prey on flies and insects?" His tone wasn’t harsh as would be expected, but calm, certain; even jesting to a degree. Ulquiorra wasn’t the kind of person to justify himself, or his being to anyone. He simply didn’t care. Those to whom he respected, he would follow to the bitter end. Aizen was one of those few; and even though he would never truly admit it, Orihime had also gained a portion of his respect.
His gaze softened a bit and his stance loosened. A slight smile grimaced his face as he waiting to hear what kind of response and/or action Orihime would take.
#Hi! Omg I'm so sorry this has been lost forever I'm very very very sorry forgive me#Chance Encounter.#ruthlessespada

Alright! After much thinking, I've decided to tentatively return. Since it's been a long time and I'm not sure who's still around or what threads I still have going on, I'm going to start over. Please like this if you're still here and you know we've a thread going on and would like to keep it. Otherwise, message me if you would like to discuss a roleplay.

Stare.
She's been caught in a daze, drifting off to one of her fantasy lands where things like giant, animate ramen stands run by panda bears were common. If she drooled a bit, Orihime didn't notice, nor would she have particularly minded. When the blond male appeared out of thin air, it caused her to startle from her pleasant daydream, blinking a couple times before finding her bearings.
"Several things, actually ~! I was thinking about dinner, which of course got me to thinking about space ships, and just now I was wondering if panda bears like ramen," Orihime confessed, giggling a little as she rubbed the back of her neck. "I'm sorry -- Have we met before...?"
If they had, and she'd forgotten, she'd never forgive herself! It would be ever so rude of her.
The Princess and the Rogue
—— From his seat on a near by balcony overlooking the rather uneventful town filled with people minding their own business, Prompto’s dusty brown eyes caught sight of a girl with long burnt orange hair. For some reason, she seemed different that the other townsfolk who were minding their own business. The thought peaked an interest in his mind as his eyes roamed over the rest of her form, appreciating her good looks. Heh, maybe she even looked good enough for him!
—— Rising from his seat he jumped from platform to balcony to platform, until it was safe enough for him to make a free fall jump down nearby the blonde woman.
—— Although something like this seemed weird and would most likely land him a slap across the cheek and could potentially be labelled as flirting, he spoke out to her: "Hey, something on your mind?"

Orihime Inoue loved school, and she especially enjoyed Ouran Academy. Although Karakura High would always have a special place in her heart, the healer felt such peace as she never had before in any place besides the childhood home she'd made with her older brother. The exquisite designs of the buildings and lawns were only part of the attractiveness of the school; she'd come to know each of her classmates, at least a little, and had managed to make a few good friends in the short time she'd lived in Bunkyo.
As such, it wasn't hard to imagine that her guard would be decidedly lowered while wandering anywhere on campus. She'd heard of the strange happenings, but knew them to be the work of Hollows whom she was confident her friends from Seireitei who she knew to be residents of the city as well could take care of. Orihime herself had managed to take on a small number herself; it really wasn't anything to worry about, as she had to remind herself almost daily.

"Absolutely, Rin-chan! In fact, you can borrow my notes, if you'd like! I'm sorry about the drawings along the side...I sort of got carried away earlier! Haha ~" Smiling brightly at the indicated student, Orihime pulled the notes from her bag and handed it over, blushing furiously at the answering exclamation of thanks.
This sort of scene wasn't unfamiliar lately. Several of her classmates had begun to notice that the auburn-haired female tested well in most of her classes, placing high on the rankings, and they asked her for help from time to time on the more difficult material. The small group of people continued to chatter for a beat, and then suddenly --
"Orihime."
'That presence...His voice...How can that be...?'

She hardly noticed the sudden hush that fell over the group as she turned her head slowly to find herself gazing at the very form the drawn out syllables of her name had conjured. A scene from what now appeared to be a previous life flashed through her mind, of the clashing of swords and ash. "U-Ulqui --"
Suddenly reminding herself of where she was, Orihime stopped short and offered the group of girls a brief smile, indicating that they should move on without her. They trotted off reluctantly, obviously wondering who the strange man was that had called her so familiar. She didn't move an inch herself, wary eyes upon his figure. Though she had meant what she said before, that she no longer feared him, Orihime couldn't begin to understand what it meant for him to be here.
"How can you be here? Why are you here?" That was all she could think to say.
Chance Encounter-- For better or worse?
The mundane existence these mere mortals, or trash as Ulquiorra often referred to them as, was getting quite unnerving. Ants, trash, a waste of space. How much longer must I maintain this facade for Lord Aizen…. Ulquiorra continued to walk through the halls of Ouran, ignoring the frightened students that stood before him as he thought and pondered over his current predicament.
Stopping in the courtyard and finding a bench to sit on, he sat, back straight as a board against the backing of the bench. His head tilted down as he pondered over what to do next. He knew he couldn’t keep up this charade for much longer. Him, a teacher over those he hates most…. how ironic. Perhaps I should return to Hueco Mundo and report there is nothing here that would be beneficial, nor worth of Lord Aizen’s time. Only trash, and a few minor threats from the Seireitei. Nothing I couldn’t take care of myself though. Looking up almost as suddenly as he had sat down, Ulquiorra felt a familiar presence near by….
Ulquiorra stood up and took a few glances around to see who’s spiritual pressure he was sensing. It wasn’t large enough to be a threat, so who could he have encountered in the past that had such a spiritual pressure? He had his suspicions, but that’s all they were at the moment, he needed to put eyes on his target in order to confirm them.
Walking away from the small courtyard, Ulquiorra headed towards the entrance of the school. When he arrived, he pinpointed the source of the spiritual pressure. There she was, orange hair and naive smile. She seemed to be standing at the entrance talking to a few of the students.
"Orihime." Ulquiiorra uttered below a whisper as he stood at the entrance, hands in his pockets and chin flushed forward, his arrogant and haughty stance was noticeable from a mile away.
If Orihime is here, then where is Ichigo?

'You're not so bad yourself.'
Had Azula-san really said that...? Quite frankly, Orihime had a little trouble believing that, seeing as how she was sure she'd been a little bit off with her timing and rhythm. Still, she was very grateful to the other female for what she saw as an attempt to cheer her up and reassure her that she was doing just fine. 'Ah, I'm so nervous ~ But being alongside a new friend definitely makes it easier...!'
Orihime watched with wide eyes as the moves were demonstrated, before fidgeting anxiously as a rather enthusiastic youth tried to imitate the actions, only to wind up in a mess on the floor. She fussed for a moment, wondering it they were truly okay, but it seemed like they were more embarrassed than anything. Takeuchi-sensei appeared to be giving them a lecture regarding jumping into the situation too quickly, being too reckless. Hopefully, they would learn their lesson, because Orihime didn't want to see anyone become harmed unnecessarily!
"Oh ~! I hope that they'll be okay....That seemed as if it might hurt!" Orihime related to Azula, peering up front anxiously before glancing around the room. Everyone had broken into distinct groupings of two now, and had begun to practice as the sensei had instructed. "I-I suppose we should get started, ne ~?"
Her nerves were suddenly out in full force. She might have some confidence when it came to things like breathing or moving through forms, but when it came to the actual physical aspects...she was basically useless. While she recognized the importance of learning self defense, the idea of doing harm to another just didn't set well with her. Additionally, Orihime would never forgive herself if she accidentally caused Azula any sort of injury; while unlikely, she fretted about what might happen should she manage to alienate her new friend immediately.
The two females faced each other and got into the proper stance, gripping one another's arms and began the process of deashi harai. Orihime knew that the technique required the upper body to be in tune with the push-pull motion and the rotation of the hips, but she seemed to be having a tiny bit of trouble grasping onto that strand. Before she knew it, she was on the ground.

"Itai ~" Rubbing the back of her neck sheepishly, she started to giggle a little, attempting to laugh it off.
'Ah -- At this rate, I'll never get the hang of things!' She was thoroughly unimpressed with her own performance, although seeing the amusement on the faces of her fellow students simply gave her the will to drag herself back to her feet and retake her stance. 'I-I can do this! Tatsuki-chan helped me out before, and I don't want to disappoint her!'
Taking their positions once more, Orihime declared, "I'm sorry, Azula-san; I'm a little nervous, so I was careless and clumsy. This time, I will definitely try my hardest!"

Greetings lovely person. How are you doing? OOC Day question: What is the meaning behind the url you chose? If that's been already answered, why did you choose your url in particular? :)
Hello, dearest anon-san!
You see, I am highly uncreative, and most of the urls that I would’ve wanted to use for Orihime were taken. It’s very difficult to come up with urls for such a popular character, ne ~? So, I was glancing through her wiki page to find something to use and I was reminded about one of her quotes, which is in my sidebar. That’s always been one of my favorite sayings of hers. To me, it’s probably the best way to define her. She so longs to be that ‘connection’, like the rain connects the earth and sky. So, yes, that’s the history behind the url. uwu

Already done. I regret it very much.
☄ - My opinion of you

Ace ~! I don't think I can say enough how much I absolutely adore you, both as a person and as a writer. You are so amazing at portraying your characters that each one seems like the genuine article! I really love having you on the dash, because I am always captivated by your threads and I just -- Not to mention that I really enjoy talking to you in the chat! We've talked one on one occasionally, but not nearly enough! ^___^ There's a reason your name on my contact list is Ace the Serial Cutie. Hint: It's because you're super cute. <3

❣ - An unpopular opinion I have
I've got a lot -- I'm pretty sure that anyone that has been around the chat long enough already knows that I can be pretty stubborn in regards to certain things. XD Mostly, I think the biggest thing right now would have to be about shipping. Although there are a few people that I know that share my thoughts, it seems like a majority of the roleplaying community at large just will ship whatever. It just honestly seems like people sometimes go, "Oh, hey, this character and that one are my favorite. They're super hot; I want them to be together." Hell, it's not a bad thing, because honestly I can understand, but they don't even try to make it work. And then there are those that just pick up characters solely for the purpose of shipping and that really gets my goat. That's not what rping is about. Casually rants I'm so sorry. Btw this is not necessarily something meant for the group just in general yeah.
✾ - TV series I love
Okay -- Now for my other shows owo
I love Spongebob Squarepants. Always have, always will. That and Rugrats and Hey Arnold! I watch Nick late at night so yeah. Okay also one of my favorite shows ever is Monster High. I'm not sorry about this at all.
❂ - Post a picture of myself
Welp Ace also asked for this but I'll post it here since I think it has a better chance of being buried if I do this now yes.

Criminal Minds!! <3 <3 Is CSI: Miami good? O: Because I’m watching NY right now just because it’s always on though I’m a little “eh” about it even though I do quite like the characters. SO MANY CSI’S AND THEY JUST PLAY THE EPISODES RANDOMLY HERE.
Miami is a lot better than NY in my opinion. We kinda prefer it in my house, so that's really the only one we watch. ^___^

Hm...Let's see ~ Someone else asked this question, so I'll answer this one with 'serious' television series and the others will be more random. Haha.
I really love Criminal Minds! It's one of the only shows that I'll willingly watch anymore. That, and Gray's Anatomy. I like NCIS and CSI: Miami as well, but I far prefer Criminal Minds. Not to mention, we watch that one more often! I also enjoy watching House Hunters and Say Yes to the Dress. I'm not even sorry.

"Where are you hiding?"
She was playing a game.
Creating unique stories that developed into epic adventures had been one of her favorite pastimes since childhood, something Sora-nii-chan had only encouraged by aiding her in coming up with some of her favorite tales. These little games had come to a sudden halt along with her brother’s untimely demise, though she had later revived the practice in another form, coming up with exciting new ideas that combined various types of sports with her dearest friend, Tatsuki-chan.
The tale that she was cooking up today happened to involve a fanciful musing about alien-witches (who greatly resembled the with of ‘Hansel and Gretel’ mixed with a creature called ‘Elf’ — she’d been watching late night television again recently.) These particular alien-witches had arrived on earth for one purpose: to disguise themselves as normal human beings, and slowly endear themselves to the population of earth in order to blindside them once the orders came to effectively ‘remove them.’ Orihime’s role in this particular story was one that she favored greatly: she was the ‘handsome and noble prince’ who’s certain powers would help to the defeat these nefarious denizens of the outer galaxy.
‘I’ve always wanted to be a prince, just like the one in Sleeping Beauty — Fighting through thorns to slay the evil dragon and rescue the princess from her tower!'
Lurking as inconspicuously as possible about campus (which meant, of course, that she had dressed herself entirely in white — she was a prince, after all! — and was skulking about rather obviously behind walls and trees), Orihime kept an eye out for any sign of an alien-witch. Although they resembled ordinary humans while taking their form, there were certain indications of their true nature — red hair and green eyes. So far today, she had only seen one or two people who’s physical traits could be seen as compatible with that description.

”There ~! An alien-witch…Mwahaha ~! You can’t fool me with that disguise, for I am the clever Ori-oujisama!” Orihime declared in a hushed whisper, breaking character for only a moment to laugh behind her hand, pleased with this latest development.
As usual, she didn’t pause to consider that the unfortunate male who happened to appear in her field of vision might not take well to the idea of featuring in such a fanciful tale, especially not as the ‘villain.’ All that mattered at the moment was that an ‘alien-witch’ had been spotted, and of course she needed to ‘take of it!’ The best way to defeat such a being was to remove its source of power, the thing that stored their energy and created the human guise, allowing them to don this appearance for a great length of time —
’Of course ~! It must be the eye-patch…’
Now that she had located the source, it was time to move into action. Sneakily tip-toeing across the grounds, humming a tune that sounded suspiciously like the ‘James Bond’ music, Orihime neared her target with relative ease. Tapping the young man on his back to attract his attention, she braced herself, and mustering up all of her ‘power’ — swiftly removed the eye-patch from his head and sped off before her actions had time to sink in.
Giggling madly to herself as she found a place behind the fountain in the shade where she felt she might be hidden well enough, she took the time to examine the object she clutched in her hands, feeling oddly victorious. She had done it! “Now, all I have to do is deactivate this device and everything will be fine! One less alien-witch ~!”
"Where are you hiding?"

‘Uh oh —' She was discovered! Slowly, the reality of her actions began to sink in, and Orihime suddenly felt terrible. This was only a game, after all, one that she had taken too far. 'What if he needs this…? Oh, this is bad.’
Emerging from behind the fountain and rubbing the back of her neck sheepishly, Orihime offered the material to him and said, “I-I’m so sorry…You see, I was playing a game, and — But that’s no excuse! It was terribly inappropriate of me! I-I hope that I haven’t trouble you too much.”
What an unfortunate way for a first meeting to occur!

Her morning had begun spectacularly. She'd awoken in good spirits, looking forward to yet another school day. All had been well --
Until she went to take a donut from the box she'd purchased from her favorite bakery the previous day and promptly developed a bright rash and her eyes began to water. Orihime had forgotten that the magic of the grey-faced person had caused her to become allergic to the sweet. The rest of the day simply declined from there.
"I'm so hungry..."
Oh, if only she could just have a bite...!
