Hi! I’m a pretty new Sims player and I love all the clothing on your blog! I’m trying to download some of the clothing but I don’t know how?? Once I have gone to the Patreon page and download the files what do I do with them? I have some basic knowledge of computer function but I just don’t know how to get the files into the Sims game so my Sims can wear the clothes. 

Hello friend, I’m so sorry it took me so incredibly long to answer! I bet by now you have it all figured out, but I’ll answer anyway, in case anyone else is struggling with it.

You have to go to your ‘Documents” folder, then into ‘Electronic Arts’, ‘The Sims 4′, and finally ‘Mods’. If there is no ‘Mods’ folder in ‘The Sims 4′, you can manually create one - the game should be able to recognise it.

So, your path has to look like this:

And then you just put your newly downloaded package file(s) into the Mods folder. Done!

When you turn on your game, don’t forget to go to settings and enable modified content (or whatever that option is called). If I remember correctly, you can find it under ‘other options’.

If you download lots of cc and mods, you might want to organise them into separate folders (some of the most common systems are by type, by era, by creator, by download date etc.). As far as .package files are concerned, you can do it in any way you want, even going many folders deep.

Be careful though if you download not only cc (clothes, items, hair, skin details etc.), but also proper mods! Some of them are still packages, but others are more complex script mods, and those can go only max. one folder deep. So if you create a ‘Script mods’ folder inside the general ‘Mods’ folder, you have to put all your script mods directly in there, without any further subcategories. Otherwise the game won’t be able to load them properly. Or at least that’s what I was told ;).

You can easily tell apart packages from script mods by the file name: packages always end with ‘.package’, and script mods with ‘.ts4script’. Also, most creators will make it clear in the description that their mod is a script mod.

You don’t have to worry about it in case of my content though. Script mods are by far out of my league, so everything I post is a simple package file.

Dear Simblr community, can we please stop paying these people for CC they don’t give two fucks about at the end of the day? If you feel offended by my post, I am clearly calling you out. If you are the cc creator who posts this shit and you know it’s broken or there is a problem OR if you hide all of your shit behind a paywall for longer than necessary? @harrie-cc and @felixandresims​.

@grafity-cc​, can you not charge $3 to $5 on exclusive cc if you aren’t even going to finish the product and remove a VERY noticeable watermark? If I pay for exclusive CC, I would prefer it to be clean. This is not a big thing to ask for, your other CC is great.

@harrie-cc, I can not tag Harrie because she BLOCKED me on here after people called her out for making a new cc creator feel like shit for editing her meshes after she had NO TOU. Then she was so upset that she wasn’t being backed up so she made a TOU that makes no sense and STILL violates EA’s rules on paywalls and exclusive CC. This was all June 26th. I was going to respond to her after she ran to YouTube to flip the situation.

Also, in case anyone did NOT know, Felix makes at least $13,000 Euros a whole month while he sends WIP pics that are promising each month yet releases one pack of broken CC a month. Full of lines and everything. We pay for this man’s vacations and everything else and all we ask for is promising CC that isn’t broken. This is all public knowledge because he shows his patron count and you can easily do the math with the help of Google.

We have got to do better with this. We invest in these people with terrible attitudes and terrible morality. These are just a few. We all know more people who do the same thing and we simp for them so hard that we can’t even speak up for ourselves.

T E G E L _________________ Here I went back to 2016-something. Early Mxims. Me switching from S3 to S4. This is the kind of apartment I wanted to build back then; dark, with a lot of posters, hanging clothing, brick walls… but simply couldn’t because I had no idea how to do anything.  A two floor penthouse apartment, industrial, cozy, loftish. 

  I don’t feel very comfortable building something that isn’t light minimalism with a lot of beige and concrete, but here I am, leaving my zone. I am still not sure how I feel about it, but I think I will try more new things in the future.  Please keep in mind this lot is not functional. Please note that this is an apartment. It can of course be placed anywhere, but it has no exterior decoration whatsoever. It looks ugly from the outside.  There is one object used from a pay set, a wire fence from Aggressive kitty’s Brutalism.
