I whipped up these ocs in class on Thursday Morning and digitalized them on my lunch break. I literally have been obsessing over That’s Not My Neighbor and reobsessed over Papers, Please.

While they’re two completely different games, I decided to just make two siblings that work the jobs in those games.

TikTok did not like the art so I’m posting it here :]

Viktor is younger, not sure how old he is, but he works as the Doorman for That’s Not My Neighbor. I really liked how flexible I could be with the guard uniform.

Jeremi is a Border Control officer, for Papers, Please. Again, not sure how hold he is.

If I could establish an age for Viktor, I could figure out Jeremi, but I’m not sure how old Vik would be to work in TNMN

I like to see the green as ‘I like you, and we’ve talked enough to be friends’. I like the idea that Vik just doesn’t *talk* to a lot of people.

I finally finished, but now I don't know what to do with all of them, so maybe I'll use them for tiktok videos and some occasional drawings here

Cherrywood: ok, so I think he would be the kind of person who loves attention and won't shut up even under water. He gets along well with the rest of the Republia issuing cities, but they consider him a nuisance most of the time

Definitely a top film critic

Nirsk: he is someone really simple, he follows a routine because outside of it he has nothing else to do. His hobby is usually fishing, but he rarely manages to catch more than one fish

Sometimes he is called upon by West Grestin to take over the temporary position of inspector when for some reason they run out of one. Nirsk hates this, he hates travelling

Autonomous Yurko City: this guy only appears in my lore, the only relevant thing about him is that he was one of the most affected by the war, although technically he is now dead and was not even an autonomous city as such

But anyway, he's not Yurko's brother but he's not the same person either, he's like those people who look like other people even without sharing genes. His personality can be summed up as quiet but also quite meticulous and analytical

I started to draw Olek a lot, now he is everywhere, even in my school computer

I have nothing to say, at least I finished the main cities, but I have to digitise Nirsk, Cherrywood and a fancanon city that only applies and appears in the lore I have for Kolechia

Anyway, I'm not really sure what role they would play either, so for now I think I'll just stick to personality

Mergerous: he is the capital and the most socially and culturally closed, he is relatively friendly but if he can avoid unnecessary interactions he will do so. He gets on well with the other capitals, but with Paradizna he finds it difficult to empathise

Skal: he shares a border with Arstotzka, so it is easier for him to empathise with Arstotzka and his cities most of the time. Sometimes he takes on the role of a border inspector

Lorndaz: well, I think he'd be a nice guy to hang out with, not as sociable as Skal but more so than Mergerous. Maybe he's the type of person who loves horror stories that take place in the woods

By the way, I have the headcanon that in M.o.I. when you reach a certain high rank the uniform turns from black to white, why? I don't know, I just like the idea

I can't give Cherrywood a good design, Nirsk was easier because... he's just Nirsk, he's a simple man

Paradizna: The capital. He's terribly hateful and the type who would keep arguing even if he wasn't right, plus he'd probably tell you to fuck off if he saw you make any kolechian gestures

East Grestin: As I had already explained with the Kolechian cities, he and West Grestin are the same person, but what happens to one does not happen to the other. They have the same personality and the same way of dealing with problems, only guided by different ideals. But like Nirsk, he is one of the few who sympathises more with Kolechia

Orvech Vonor: She is just like Paradizna only less hateful, she is the one who is least likely to interact with other cities unless it is something very important. But it has a relationship of mutual hatred with Vedor.

Enkyo: The capital. He is not someone who likes company outside of working hours but is always up for a cup of tea. For the most part, he usually associates with Paradizna for trade issues but he doesn't even like him at all

Tsunkeido: Well, I think small fishing businesses could be found here, but I also think she would prefer to do and fill out paperwork related to it, giving fishing permits or something like that

Haihan: I'll be honest, I have no idea what I would do or what the city would do, so personality wise I think it would be relatively solitary but could easily become a friend

I barely have personality headcanons with these, so it will just be general data

ST.Marmero: the capital and where the headquarters of most companies are located. When night falls, most (if not all) of the streets are dead

Outer Grouse: I don't think it's a big city, but it's big and important enough to be an issuing city. It has a lot of forests, so there are several companies involved in lumbering

Glorian: I think it could be a city a little more focused on tourism due to being close to the border with Republia (but not really bordering the neighboring country), although that does not remove the prejudice and suspicion that there is with the southern neighbor

I have a headache and I think I have a fever, but looking on the bright side I have finished them all, I just need to draw two more

Vedor: Ok then, I have the headcanon that he is an attempt at an industrial city, so I think he would be the owner of several factories, but since for some reason he has a hard time managing them he tends to get into debt with Yurko asking her for credits to maintain the most important ones. I also think he would be the type of person who lives with headaches

West Grestin: She and East Grestin are the same person, but it doesn't mean that what happens to one happens to the other. I don't even know how to explain it now so I guess I'll leave that for later.

Anyway she doesn't usually care too much about what the cities of Arstotzka do, and the only one she really detests is Paradizna

Yurko City: She hates all arstotzkans equally, She keeps trying somehow to get Paradizna to talk and confess what his men did in the war, as well as to get him to tell at once where they took the missing people (Lore's topic, I don't even know if I will explain it here)

Going to personality I think she would be someone hateful, especially with Vedor, she still wants her money back

Say hello to Elliott Vonel! He's, quite a long story! But basically he's an OC for both Papers, Please and Beholder. Anyways, as usual, more info under the cut.

He's M(ikhail) Vonel's half brother. Mr Vonel had a bit of an affair during one of his trips to the now West Grestin and Elliott was born. Elliott never really got to know about his father because he left not long after the pregnancy.

Lived his whole life with his Kolechian mother but marries an Arstotzkan woman and has two kids, a son and a daughter.

Only recently came to Arstotzka after the border reopened. He claims an official Arstotzkan citizenship.

Won the labor lottery for a position in the Ministry of Property Registration as a property manager/landlord for an apartment in the Altan district. In addition, he takes the role of a beholder as he has to spy on the tenants to make sure they do not go against government laws.

Elliott basically did not know Mikhail existed and vice versa, until they coincidentally met in a worker's audit. Mikhail didn't take the revelation too well and refuses to aid his half brother with the reason of not wanting to aid someone who he had never known prior and someone who's basically a Kolechian - thus causing both of them to have a severely strained relation.

Elliott is clearly upset by this, but tries to maintain his ground - claiming he's a good man. He's better than that government pet.

...and the bills pile up. And his wife is nagging him for daily needs constantly. And his son becomes rebellious and estranged. And his daughter falls severely ill. And so on, and so on.

... He's a good man. ... Is he now?

Other info:

The information above relates most to his Papers, Please version, but his Beholder counterpart isn't any different. Just switch the places around and he still retains the same story.

Mainly inspired by Beholder 1's protag, Carl Stein.

Elliott is 5'2". I forgot to put it on his ref.

His ref mentions he's Borean (?) just because the location of the State in Beholder isn't really clear.

Takes FOREVER to decide on something. his half brother scripts while he goes on the shittiest improv ever.

Insanely fast runner with insane stamina.

Does not have a sense of time (until he does and he gets stressed about it).

Not really having the best mental health streak.

He needs to keep checking with the ministries because they keep fucking his name up in documents (Eliot, Elliot, Eliott, etc.).

He's so stressed out and paranoid it's unreal.

I think that after these I will post those of Kolechia, I had planned to do it later together with those of Arstotzka but I practically already have them done and the others I have to digitize them

Bostan: the capital and where The Republia Times headquarters are located; he's usually friendly to a point, and I think he'd be the kind of guy who'd say randoms data at any time

Lesrenadi: I have no idea what role he would fulfill, but I guess the city has a lot of tourism and he would do paperwork related to that.... I don't know, I'll see how I develop it. Anyway, I think he would be cool but also very bossy

True Glorian: She spends her time burning Antegria propaganda, after all she is the one most exposed to this material. It's not much, but it ends up being something for Republia; it's not the best of the cities but it's relatively less irritating than the other two

Extra: all three have terrible sleep schedules

It's been a long time since I've written but maybe by the end of the year or next year I'll have one of these two finished (I have no idea for titles now, and I don't even know which one to start with)
