A series of collected images from my various sites online. All showing the range of selected minerals mostly found during hikes and some obtained from my favorite stone dealers. These mineral colors are only obtained by contacting me in my http://www.etsy.com/shop/earthmineralarts via here at ema-of-mlg, the painter’s secret room through to Etsy custom order. The bird shapes are part of my thirty year commitment to emotional healing work through the arts and affectionately and officially called ‘medicine pigment bird.’ The many minerals I use are all processed by me also for other applications in the arts and conservation field.

The Treasury of Aged Metal Threads–
Whats in a metal thread? Antique bullion threads were often woven with a cotton inner core and could be of mixed silver, gold, later on brass and copper. In the edwardian and later victorian era european metal threads had woven their way through history from early renaissance tapestries, upholsteries and banners that one might find in a lovely old masons lodge. Or even in someone’s antiquated lost or forgotten collection from a sojourn to China. #bullion #metalembroiderythread #textiles

The Mineral Light Color Book Boxes–
My collection of mineral paint specimens on charts, little piles of paint and recipes, some never repeated. Mostly because there wasn’t enough time. Happy accidents often occurred with electronic spirits throwing their ideas into the cauldron. Its a beautiful saturday. #watercolorcharts #antiquebooks #colourhunting #paintedcharts #conservatorsarts
