New Horizons

It’s here, finally,,,,we know what we’re waiting for,,,

I’m so excited like.....I’m planning town names and ideas already. Decorations and ideas.

Like I’ll actually be able to put this blog to use AGAIN!!!

Animal Crossing was at E3!

Sadly the release date was pushed back to March 20, 2020, but we do have a lot of info about the title!

It’s going to be called Animal Crossing: New Horizons!

It takes place on a “deserted island” which you then get to develop, building everything from scratch!

There’s a crafting system now! You can pick up wood and rocks and grass and craft tools!

You can choose your hemisphere! So June for someone in North America can look different for someone in Australia!

You can put down permanent paths!

(Hopefully you’ll be able to customize them too, but even just having a permanent option is HUGE!)

You can set up your tent/house on the beach!

(Beachfront property, oh yeaaahhh)

You can make a “vaulting pole” to cross the rivers without having to build a bridge!

You can place furniture OUTSIDE!! So you can actually have a lawn chair in front of you house! Or whatever you like!

You can move your furniture in HALF INCREMENTS just like in HHD!!

You can harvest flowers instead of pulling them! Which is awesome because they added a flower crown that you can craft!!!!

It looks like you can get wood from trees or use a shovel to move them! This will make landscaping easier?

It looks like multiplayer support has increased to 8 players!

Things from my super long post that were confirmed:

Skin Tones! If the trailer is to be believed you can now pick out your skin tone and be other shades than just plain “pale peach.” I know this is great news for the multitude of POC AC players! (You can see some characters with darker skin in the screenshot!)

During the Treehouse they confirmed that wind will be present in the game, and that some days will be windier than others!

It looks like you can pick up and place grasses now!

A phone! You have a little smart phone now! There are only 5 apps shown in the treehouse segment, but there definitely appears to be room for more! Maybe you can add the numbers of your villagers later!

EDIT: A couple of things:

So far there has been no mention of Amiibo functions, hopefully that will change!

No sign of Isabelle, but that’s probably because she’s busy kicking your butt in Smash lol

Future Plans?

I should honestly go ahead and apologize for my lack of posting and not responding to dms or anything.

I made this account purely because I loved animal crossing and wanted to make friends with people who shared the same interest. I just also made this account at an awful point in my life. School was hard and keeping a stressfree home life was harder. I just didn’t have the time or motivation to take pictures to post.

I’m currently in my junior year of high school, the worst year btw. I’m taking a ton of advanced classes and don’t find I have idle time to play and dedicated time to a new town.

I still play every now and again, and have restarted a town I’m determined to keep but I’m afraid I won’t be posting much of it. I might post a screenshot here or there but I wouldn’t count on it.

BUT I will 110% be getting animal crossing for the switch! Either on the release date or within that week. And I promise to y’all and myself no more restarts and more dedication.

When Animal Crossing Switch comes out, I WILL post regularly and I WILL stick to it and this blog.

Restart?

Guys I hate to say this, but I haven’t played much since I last posted. My 2ds charger broke and I haven’t had the money or time to reorder a new one. So Merci is literally probably all ran over....

I want to update my device and if I do, or just get a new charger, I’ll probably restart my town so I don’t have to deal with the damage of literally it being like a ghost town.

AHH here's some photos from around places in Merci that aren't really pwp's but just as important to show! The first photo is of my orchid of fruit. I believe it features: peaches, perfect peaches, lemons, pears, 2 fruits I can't spell but they're hard to spell. Not pictures are my beaches, which are covered in coconuts and bananas! (Btw all the fruit once sold equals about 50,000 bells) The second photo is my town tree and guest star: Villager Antonio! The third is Main Street, with the newly updated T&T, Shampoodles, and Kicks! The fourth photo is Merci's new flag, which was recently redesigned!

So as promised, here is a spam of photos that show (almost) all my pwps so far! Please note that this doesn't include things like the dream suite or the museum upgrade; but I do have those present in my town! The first photo is of a complete fountain and a yellow bench in the works (should be done by tonight) The second photo is of the water well and a drawstring bridge (? Is that the right term?). I also have another cobblestone bridge that was built that isn't pictured. The third photo is the most recently built café! I'm very very very excited!!!! I plan on putting more pwp's but for now, those are the few I do have placed around the town!
