@thesoulspulse suggested in this post a while back that Vlad should have become Casper High's principal instead of Amity Park's mayor, and I completely agree. Would have been waaaaaay funnier and better preserved his status as a very personal threat/potential ally to Danny specifically. Plus, we could have gotten a really dramatic students vs faculty dodgeball game with Vlad vs Danny as the inciting force!!

I think my main problem with DP x DC is not the idea on itself but how it has overtaken a good part of the Danny Phantom fandom.

Because like it would be one thing if this was a niche crossover that was on its own corner like other fandoms do but DC X DP isn't its own corner- it is the Danny Phantom fandom, to the point that it feels like the original fandom isn't there anymore.

And it gets more annoying because a lot of DC X DP fans feel like they haven't watched Danny Phantom series, based at least of what have seen from other posts and some general discourse. It gets frustrating because what it is supposed to be the ¨main fandom¨ hasn't even watched the show nor knows what it is.

It gets to the point that when you search in AO3 tags for Danny Phantom in characters tag Valerie Gray- one of the most iconic and important characters from Danny Phantom- isn't there and instead there is a Batman character who doesn't belong to Danny Phantom.

Again, this would be a lot less of an issue if DC X DP it was its own corner- but it isn't and those who want to talk about the actual Danny Phantom show are left frustrated and annoyed by this
