The Bible and Myths: a 1 AM Rant and Ramble

You wanna know what will never cease to make me salty?

The Bible is a mythology book. By definition. But you say it is, and people loose their ever fucking mind about it.

I don’t understand. It has all the things that makes a mythological story and mythological story.

It states why and how the earth was created. It has moral stories. Yet it’s not called a mythological book. But a religious book.

But oh no. My religion is summed up to only myths and is “proven” to not be real.

But… I have as much proof my gods exist just like Christians have about theirs.

There’s no scientific evidence. Just stories. But, one is praised to believe in than all other religions.

Like, I’m not saying the Christian god doesn’t exist. I just don’t worship him. I just get so so upset when people, Christians, say I believe in myths.

Like??? You and I both pray to a god(or in my case mutiple), we both get a response, and we spend time devoting ourselves to them and reading their stories.

There’s nothing different about it.

I don’t understand how the bible isn’t considered a mythological story like every other creation story out there. The Greeks have one. The Romans. Japan. China. All cultures have creation myths and stories. The Bible is no different.

So why does no one admit it’s a mythological story like all the others???
