The O.G
You know what, here. Have the link for the actual fic. It's bloody good so it's no surprise people want to try to and do their own version. Just, ya know, ask permission and don't outright copy it word. For. Damn. Word

So Sad
So, the plagiarist has now deleted their post trying to claim they're a victim. So I thought I'd post it on up here, just so everyone can see how sad this individual is.
Tumblr media
Yep, that's right. This sad little individual stole someone else's work and tried to pass it off as their own and then blamed the fandom for not letting them get away with it. Now, I saw all the comments on 'their' fic. The nastiest thing that was said was 'very not cool.' Even the person who wrote the actual fic, a person with every right to be angry and to throw insults, simply said how unfair it was that their work was being stolen. Apparently that translates to fraud, cheat, and liar? Guess a guilty conscience really does affect the way people see things.
Funny thing is, this post proves that this person is more than capable of making up wonderful fiction. Which is something else the comments pointed out; people actually enjoyed the story they took the trouble to write themselves. But then this person got all embarrassed about being caught out and went and deleted their entire account instead of just taking down the fic they stole.
And here's the best part. The comments on their little 'woe is me I am such a sad little victim the fandom has bullied me' post.
Tumblr media
Normally the replies would be of no interest to me. Who cares what gets said to a person who steals things and then storms off in a huff when they get caught out? But, check out the comment. 'Sorry you're leaving' says someone who, when I checked, has a totally blank blog. It could be a throw away, made to do whatever without people from other accounts finding them (like this one) but, given how pathetic this person has been so far, it's far more likely this empty blog is run by the same person and used just so they can pretend that someone cares about their narcissistic flights of fancy.
Oh, by the way, after I commented on their ridiculous post claiming they were being bullied? They didn't just delete the post, they also went through their blog and deleted every reference to Magnum P.I. as well as blocking every Tumblr account they could find that has links to that fandom.
Like the title says, how sad.

A Reason
Today I had to report someone on AO3 for the first time in over 20 years of involvement in the fanfiction world. This person stole someone else's work and then, when they got called out in the comments, decided to pitch a tantrum and delete their whole account instead of just deleting the plagiarism. And now they're on Tumblr claiming they were bullied out of the fandom. I've no intention of dragging that kind of immature drama onto my actual account, so I made this one. I may keep using it, I may not. Really I just wanted a way to call this thieving little idiot out for the bullshit victim act. Sure, it's petty. I don't care.
