Line Trace
Tumblr media
When the right trigger or left mouse button is pressed, the world location and forward vector of the camera is taken and used to find out where the line trace should come out from. This allows the next one to make it so that the line trace comes out of the barrel of the gun instead of where the camera is.
After the line trace has hit, it applies damage, so that the enemy will take 1 damage and when shot more, be destroyed.

AI Move
Tumblr media Tumblr media
To make the AI move, on an event tick the AI would try move to a random reachable point in range of 1000. The origin would just be the actors location. I had also placed a navmesh in for the AI to walk in.

Rumble
Tumblr media Tumblr media
As an experiment, I created a new Force Feedback Input, which makes the controller 'rumble' (vibrate). I made a graph inside this Input, then inside of the character blueprint i just put a 'Client Play Force Feedback' and plugged a 'Get Player Controller' into it.

XR LABS
Tumblr media
This is an image of the Omni treadmill at the XR Labs. It is used for VR. It allows you to walk around the world in VR, without actually moving in real life. It immerses the player in the game even more, because they feel like they are actually in the world.
