Plate –A plate is the dishware we use to serve meals. It comes in different shapes and sizes, and it helps make our food look appealing when we eat.
Cooking equipment - refers to tools, appliances, and devices used in the preparation and cooking of food. These items make cooking more efficient and ensure dishes are properly prepared. Examples include: Rotisserie Ovens – Used for slow roasting meats, often rotating them for even cooking. Pasta Makers – Machines or tools that help create fresh pasta from dough. Blenders – Appliances used for mixing, pureeing, or emulsifying ingredients into smooth textures.
Kitchen – The kitchen is the special place in our home where we prepare and cook food. It’s usually filled with appliances like ovens and stoves, as well as tools like pots and pans that help us create delicious meals.
Course – A course is one part of a meal, such as an appetizer, main dish, or dessert. Each course offers a different taste and helps make the meal more interesting by introducing a variety of flavors.
Seasoning – Seasoning includes ingredients like salt, pepper, and herbs that we add to our dishes to boost their flavor. A well-seasoned dish can really bring out the best tastes in the ingredients we use.
Beverage – A beverage is any drink we enjoy with our meal, like water, juice, or soda. The right beverage can complement our food and enhance the overall dining experience.
Presentation – Presentation refers to how we arrange food on a plate to make it look nice and appealing. Good presentation can make our meals more enjoyable and exciting to eat.
Portion – A portion is the specific amount of food served to one person at a meal. Knowing how to serve the right portion is important for keeping meals balanced and reducing waste.
Prep Time – Prep time is the amount of time we spend getting our ingredients ready before we start cooking. This can include washing vegetables, cutting up meat, or measuring out spices, and it's important for making sure everything goes smoothly while we cook.
Cook Time – Cook time is how long it takes to actually prepare a dish using different cooking methods like baking, frying, or boiling. Some meals take longer to cook than others, so it’s good to know how much time you need for each recipe.
