These took the battle to Intel's Core i9-9900KS and its cut-value Cascade Lake-X CPUs.

To start, two new models have been publicized for the ThinkPad X1. The first of these two new models in the ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 8. The model holds 10th gen Intel Core i5 and i7 processors together with as much as 16GB of LPDDR3 RAM, storage of 2TB, and a battery life of as many as 18.5 hours. The model houses a display of 14 inches and has a brightness of 500 nits, Dolby Atmos, as well as a finer keyboard layout.
