Corde lisse of the mind

Gangle wants to know if the others really think she's worse with her Comedy Mask. Bubble gives Gangle a mind-reading mask without telling her what it does. What started as a way to gain insight on how the others see her Comedy Mask quickly spins into learning other circus members' secrets and gaining insight into how much the A.I. running the circus really knows.

Bubble is a wildcard and Gangle now has the ability to read the minds of humans and A.I.'s alike. What will she learn?

Masking - Part 1: The "Happy" Mask

I tried to explore the possibility of the mask working in a more complex way. I like to think that the comedy or happy mask only feels genuine when the user is calm with themselves. If you use it to bottle up other emotions it eventually weakens and breaks, making you feel worse afterwards. I also like to imagine that Ragatha finds comfort in Happy Gangle when Rag is sad, thus feeling the responsibility of cheering Gangle up when she's the one suffering.

Remember that this is all a product of my own interpretations and head cannons.

Even though Gangle was the initial focus, I thought it would be pretty unfair if I didn't take the opportunity to explore Ragatha's suffering a little too and how they all struggle with this situation. Overall, I just felt like doing something sad but wholesome. Hopefully the message will cheer up some that maybe needed to hear it.
