GuruminShipping renamed to ThroughTheDoorShipping

it occurred to me this morning that i never made a proper post about this, even though the polls for renaming likodot's -shipping name ended months ago. well, better late than never!

back in march, i and a lot of other likodot community members decided to host a poll for renaming GuruminShipping to something more fitting for their hypothetical relationship. we felt that gurumin/nidothing doesn't really represent likodot well, despite being the focus of the iconic ""confession"" scene from HZ016. these two have certainly grown a lot past that starting point, and liko knows dot for dot instead of just gurumin. additionally, "gurumin" is a japanese-exclusive term and it kind of excludes dub watchers.

ThroughTheDoorShipping was coined by @lcec0ldheart via a suggestions box and it ended up winning the poll. the idea is that it represents liko and dot bonding with each other and changing each other's lives... through dot's door. and eventually, they are able to step out of that door together. while being a tiny bit of a mouthful i am also a huge fan of the name and i personally voted for it just because of what it represents. as far as i'm aware, it also isn't an already-used ship name anywhere else in the fandom, which is nice because... a lot of names are already in use, lol.

if you aren't already (i know some people already are) please use the name and tag ThroughTheDoorShipping instead of GuruminShipping! if you prefer using the old name i can't stop you, this is a silly community thing anyway, but i personally have shifted over to the new name for months now 👍

Where will Swindle go if Tumblr goes down for good?

Hello, everyone, Artsy here.

So I'm aware that a lot of people are worried about tumblr potentially being shut down, and while that isn't necessarily the most likely case scenario, we wanted to make sure people had a way of reading this comic without having to download it in the event that we could no longer host it here.

The solution to that was to make a dedicated website for Swindle! This link should open up your web browser if you're accessing us from the tumblr app - please bookmark the website! I tried to code it in a way that would make it appealing and easy to use from either desktop or mobile devices!

In the future, it might be interesting to implement a sort of comments section, though I'm not keen to do so while we're still on hiatus, and don't see the point of it if tumblr is still up and running. Otherwise, I think it's about as complete as it could be! If you have feedback, please let us know! And if you've visited the website before, you may need to clear your browser's cache/cookies/site data in order for it to properly update (your browser is still storing the old HTML code and you need to clear that!)
