Short Skit Shawn(OC)xY/N

Shawn had always thought that music was a great way to vent their feelings. They were very much aware that they weren’t always the best at expressing their feelings, especially with the clown of a persona they’ve built onto their walls. The guitar has been their best friend since they were able to sit up without support, strumming the strings and falling into tune with themselves and every harmony they’ve been able to create. This particular day the sky had been depressed, crying all over their small town and flooding a few stores. This included the small corner shop you worked at, and so with an umbrella in hand and a cheerful grin you crossed the empty streets and knocked on the blond’s door.

“Y/n! Hey hey! What brings you here Coffee Bean?” Shawn questioned happily, welcoming you in and easily closing the door as you took off your muddy shoes.

The atmosphere in the studio apartment was warm. With the multiple floodings, the power had gone out at the centre of town so Shawn had illuminated many candles that were scattered around the small home.

You smile and hang up your drenched umbrella. “I brought some new movies for us to watch,” You say, trying to change the subject so you didn’t have to confess to their face that you were feeling lonely. Even though you hadn’t voiced your thoughts aloud, Shawn felt your unease and sat down on their small two-person couch.

“So what’re we watchin’?” The blond asked and tapped the seat next to them, inviting you to join them. Before answering you took a quick glimspe around the room, noticing the crumpled pieces of papers and discarded musical instruments. You ignored Shawn, instead you picked up a guitar and handed it to them.

“I didn’t bring anything interesting.. but there’s something else we could do to pass the time,” The gremlin smiled at you, as if they had expected this to happen. They accepted the guitar.

The two of you spend the rest of the afternoon and evening singing and dancing to your own music. Now Shawn has more than a guitar to keep them company.

By the time Skylar had finished getting dressed the moon was well above the horizon. Leif waited for her by the front door, fiddling with one of his many plants that were growing in the entryway. The moment they made eye contact neither of them could breathe. This is it, Leif thought, after so many years of admiring from afar and thinking that there was absolutely no way she felt the same they were finally going on a date. Neither of them thought they’d ever get here, for so long they were immersed in a cruel reality that nothing awaited them at the end of the tunnel. But now, after mutual disappointment and hard work they’ve finally found hope in each other again. And so, with their fingers interlocked, they exited their shared home to pursue something neither of them were looking for but found.
