i wonder if genos started off with just a few robotic modifications to keep him alive and slowly got more and more with injuries and search for power until he got to where he is now with his brain being the only organic thing left (because he couldn’t have started with just a brain, kuseno wouldnt have known to/been able to save him)

that would be kinda fucked up. it would be cool to see him have some kinda identity crisis over that, questioning his humanity or whatnot

unpopular opinion, reigen does pay his taxes. yeah he’s a shady conman but he pays fire insurance goddamn it he’s gonna be the type to pay taxes. he’s a walking contradiction anyways

while i’m at it he showers too!! a core part of being a conman is keeping a good image so people trust you. i know “he doesn’t pay taxes” and “he’s stinky he doesn’t use soap” are funny but cmon it’s just not logical

i love serizawa and reigen’s dynamic

their dynamic shows how much both of them have changed over the course of the series. (serizawa getting over his codependent tendencies and reigen becoming somewhat more trusting of people)

they make up for eachother’s weaknesses (reigen for serizawa’s social skills and serizawa for reigen’s lack of psychic powers) while still pushing eachother to grow and do better.

they can rely on eachother without being consumed by eachother (cough cough manga reference cough can exist without distorting eachother cough cough it’s exactly what reigen wanted cough)

and they feel safe enough to talk about their insecurities

i love the seperation arc so much. i think the conversation that started it all is especially interesting. yes reigen was being extremely manipulative and that’s a bad thing obviously but i love how complex it was. reigens behavior was partially subconscious. he wasnt just telling mob these awful things about people as a lie, he was projecting aspects of his own miserable life he had accepted as universal truths.

because mob left he was forced to realize that the problem wasn’t just humanity as a whole, it was his own skewed view of people. when faced with that, he had to learn how to grapple with his manipulative tendencies and change.
