Blockades Are Your Friends

Always look for tower positions that can be paired together. Put an archer tower across from a melee tower so that the archer tower can help eliminate the enemies the melee soldiers are fighting.

This is the best and easiest way to combat the long streams of enemies that pour onto the map in waves. If you invest in heavy armor for the melee units, and the powerful area-damage arrows for the archer towers, the massacre-potential is very high.

I always kept my hero in the very last blockade. I used the mage dude who had the ability to call in a hard-hitting barrage of fireballs. This way if an enemy happened to make it through my first few blockades, it would quickly be roasted by my hero.

Thin The Herd

Some enemies creep down the lanes in packs. Packs are very bad. Packs can overwhelm the player’s defenses, allowing some enemies to scoot on down the lane taking no damage at all. The best way to avoid being overwhelmed is to thin the pack early on. If you see a steady stream of monsters trickling down the lane, consider dropping a special ability in the middle to stagger or wipe out a few of the monsters, breaking the big wave into two smaller waves.

This will greatly relieve the strain on your blockades since the first blockade will filter a few monsters and the second blockade will clean up any that happened to make it through.

Blot Out The Sun

Break Apart The Map

Before you signal the game to start, take a good look at the map. Look for any natural choke points, and build blockades at those locations. Take a breath, think about whatever weakness the new enemy units just exploited and think about what you can employ to stop them the next time the level is attempted.

An Army of Two

Seriously, use your skill points on those little reinforcement duos as soon as you can afford them. I cannot tell you how many times they saved me from failure. Don’t underestimate the difference a couple of soldier can make in the long run. Especially when you get their cool-down timer reduced.

The reinforcements can attack both land and airborne enemies, so keep that in mind when the swarms of flying monsters descend upon your towers.

There is no officially supported way to do what you want to do. You cannot selectively restore files, photos, or data to the iPad, when you restore from a backup, it is all or nothing.

I have never used a third party backup extraction software, but one of those might be able to extract the game data that you want. You would have to check it out to see if it will work.

This is one such application, but I still don't think that you can retrieve data like game saves. You can retrieve documents, files, photos, contacts, etc, but I have my doubts about game save data.

But with the game being so many years old, it’s only natural for players to turn their attention to modding – especially with all the features that we got in GTA IV and GTA V.

So here I’ve listed out some of the best mods that you can install to make GTA San Andreas feel like a completely different game.

Reinvigorate your SA experience – I’m sure you’ll love the new gameplay for hours on end!

Also if this is the first time that you’re installing mods, let me remind you that it’s better to make a backup save of your game files first before installing anything.

Be sure to make backup saves every time you install new mods as well, as some of them might not be entirely compatible with one another and it could corrupt your files.

And also you’ll need to install CLEO if you want most of the mods on this list to work. I’ve put it at the number one spot on my list so check it out!

30. Tuning Mod

The Tuning Mod is a fantastic modification for all vehicle enthusiasts out there.

It allows you to tune your cars like no other mod in the community, rivaling and even surpassing the tuning system of GTA V.

Modify the way tuning works in the game and give yourself a new car once you’ve installed this mod.

29. Skin Selector

I’m putting this mod here instead of any skin mod because you’ll need it to change the way CJ looks.

It basically lets you open up a menu that will allow you to browse through all of the skin mods that you’ve installed, so you can change the way CJ looks in-game.

28. HD Weapons

This amazing mod pack changes the way every single weapon in San Andreas looks.

It replaces all of the basic models that come with the vanilla game and turns them into the same weapons, but with an HD look to them all.

The UZI model looks particularly good, although all additions to the game are very well made.

It does seem like making this mod took a lot of time, but the effort of the creator was worth it.

The results speak on their own, and I’m sure you’ll love these new guns as much as I did. It makes everything feel new in an otherwise old game.

27. Teleport Mod

I find it hilarious how this mod uses the Portal logo as its own, given that it literally works nothing like Portal.

It’s still a really useful mod, though, as it basically adds quick travelling to the game.

Open up your map, place a marker, and once you unpause the game CJ will directly teleport to the spot that you marked.

CJ initially screams as if he was falling, but don’t worry – it’s just the map loading. You won’t take any fall damage!

26. New Effects V1

Are you tired of looking at the same and really old effects of San Andreas? I was too!

This mod changes the way water, light, fire, and interactions with other natural objects work in the game, to make everything look better and modernize San Andreas a tad more.

You will notice how many of the mods on my list are related to the graphics of the game, and that’s to be expected.

San Andreas is super old and many people don’t play it mainly because of its outdated graphics.

Some modders have come to create some fantastic graphical changes to the game, and I want to share them with you. I know you’ll love them as much as I did.

25. Collection of Graphic Mods

As its name suggests, the Collection of Graphic mods makes enhancements to the way the game looks by changing up a bunch of textures, shadowing, and lighting to make it look better and a bit more modern.

It’s a cool little overhaul that will improve the way your San Andreas game looks without breaking the natural aesthetics that made it such a popular title back in the early 2000s.

24. Wheels Pack

San Andreas is a pretty old game, so you probably already tried all of the wheels that the game has in the tuning stores for you.

I was tired of looking at the same tires too, so this mod came to be pretty handy for me.

It basically adds a bunch of additional tires that you can put in your cars once you visit any of the tuning shops across the dangerous city of SA.

23. Ghost Rider Mod

Are you tired of associating an amazing character like Ghost Rider with Nicolas Cage?

Trust me, me too.

Something had to be done about it, and this is the mod to completely wash your Caged Ghost Rider image by turning CJ into the popular Marvel anti-hero.

Ride the streets of San Andreas and wreak havoc among them with the outfit and powers of the mighty Ghost Rider.

You will be able to see the flames on the skull as well as in the tires of your mighty ride. It looks awesome apart from being a cool gameplay change, so give it a shot and prepare to enjoy some of the most hilarious cutscenes in GTA.

22. The Best Sound Pack for GTA San Andreas

This mod is a complete overhaul to the sounds of San Andreas.

It adds so many sounds that you won’t even believe that it’s the same game if you cover your eyes while playing it (no idea why would you do that, but hey, to each their own).

This mod changes the sounds of explosions, cop cars, car breaks, opening doors, and much more.

If you’re tired of listening to the same sounds for years, this mod will provide you with a fantastic relief that will guarantee you to stay hooked to San Andreas for a little bit more.

21. Holes from Bullets

I have always hated how bullets seem to bounce off cars after damaging them in the old GTA games.

Yes, I even hated that back in the days when this game was the hottest title in the market – I don’t know why, but hey, there’s a reason why this seemingly pointless addition has made its way to a spot on my list.

It simply adds bullet holes to your shots, so whenever you hit a car, for example, you’ll see the spot where the bullet landed. It’s pretty cool!

20. V Graphics

V Graphics, as its name suggests, was made with the intention of giving you the graphical feel of GTA V in the world of San Andreas.

It’s a pretty complex graphical overhaul of the game, and you’ll need a decent computer to run it, but it’s super worth it if you can do it.

Combine this baby with a texture mod and you won’t notice a difference in visuals between San Andreas and GTA V.

Maybe even download a mod to turn CJ into Franklin or Michael and change the way the San Andreas story unfolds by looking at it from a different perspective.

19. GTA United

GTA United replaces the entire city of San Andreas with none other than Liberty City and Vice City, in a complete overhaul of the game map.

It adds new side missions to the game as well as Easter Eggs that could be found in the two predecessors of the famous San Andreas game.

This isn’t a canon mod by any means, but it will help you reminisce with two of the most emblematic maps that have graced our old TV screens and computers.

As far as San Andreas map mods go this one takes the cake.

18. Gravity Gun

Man, this is one of the most overpowered gun mods that I’ve seen made for the Grand Theft Auto series in general.

You can use the gravity gun to bring people towards you and throw them back to where you’re aiming at unfathomably rapid speed.

If you love canon mods, then you’re going to despise this one. Looking for some fun, though?

Go through the story of San Andreas using this baby. You won’t regret it – trust me.

17. Insanity Vegetation

This beautiful mod enhances every plant texture in the game to make vegetation look as great as in some modern games.

But I do warn you – be sure to download other graphical enhancement mods if you’re going to install Insanity Vegetation.

If you don’t it’s just going to look super weird watching a bunch of HD plants in an otherwise SD environment.

16. Weapon Menu Mod

The Weapon Menu Mod simply brings up a menu where you can choose whichever weapon you want in the game and instantly spawn it for CJ.

Regardless of how you want to use this mod, it’s a very practical tool that will help you get your hands in the game’s finest as well as least desired guns. Use it wisely!

15. Ultimate Graphics Mod

If your computer isn’t capable of handling high-quality graphics, this is the best mod that you can download when tired of the traditional San Andreas look.

It enhances the way texture load in the game, and even though it does improve everything substantially, it’s still suited to be used in low-end computers.

I believe this is possible mainly because shadows tend to be the one thing that computers struggle to handle (like Minecraft shaders, for example).

This mod adds a ton of graphical enhancements, but keeps shadows to a very low level of quality. It makes everything look great, but it doesn’t compromise the memory usage of your PC. Just what I need.

14. Textures for GTA SA

This sweet mod enhances the way the graphics of roads and streets look in the game.

It basically adds new textures to every single street in San Andreas to make the whole gaming look smoother, something that couldn’t be added back in the days of the release of the game because computers and consoles couldn’t handle higher resolutions in the game files.

Times have changed, though. And this is just one of the many mods that completely enhances the game graphically.

Combine it with others to make San Andreas some justice and modernize the way the game feels, at least in a visual sense!

13. Iron Man Mod

So, apparently, it wasn’t Tony Stark who created the Iron Man suit, and it somehow made its way to the streets of San Andreas.

How dangerous could be a gangster dressed up in the most powerful body armor ever created by mankind?

Note: YOU MUST STOP 'OCS Inventory Service' to make changes on these files, because they are write protected while service is running. As is, only user having Administrator privileges can modify these files.

When launched for the first time, OCS Inventory NG agent will prompt user for the TAG value(if this feature is enabled). Help text displayed in the dialog-box is the one you have enteredin Configuring management server. User may enter this value, or leave it blank (you will be ableto update this value through the Administration server).

Then (or otherwise if TAG feature is not enabled), it will do the inventory and send inventoryresults to Communication server using HTTP or HTTPS.

Note: When the agent is first launched, it will only generate and send an inventory.

How does Windows service work?

Note: You must have Administrator privileges to set up OCS Inventory NG Agent as a service, or you may use OCS Inventory NGPackagerto create an installer able to run even if user do nothave Administrator privileges. Refer toUploading Agent for deployment through launcher “OcsLogon.exe”or OCS Inventory NGPackagerdocumentation.

OCS Inventory NG Agent “OCSInventory.exe” is launched by service “OcsService.exe” every PROLOG_FREQ hours.It keeps trace of the countdown in seconds in file “ocsinventory.ini” (value TTO_WAIT), so it is the timeof EFFECTIVE run.

The number of hours to wait is randomized at install time and each time PROLOG_FREQ is changed inAdministration Console.

You want to have computers inventoried, even if nobody log in ? Use Service version.

You want to use package deployment feature ? Use service version. As is, package will be downloadedin background, and logged in user can continue to work.

You do not want to set service up or have anything appears in the registry ? Use standalone version.However, deployment of package may take a long time when users log in.

In other words, we recommend using service version.

Network inventory: Computer can reach OCS Inventory NG Server through the network, and so,Agent will be launched using either a Windows Service, or a Logon/GPO script.

Local inventory: Computer is not connected to a network, or will never be able to reachOCS Inventory NG Server. You can generate an inventory of this computer and save to file to be importedlater on server (see chapter Generating inventory of a non network connected Windows computer below).

Fill in OCS Inventory NG Communication server URL, likehttp://your_ocs_server_address:your_server_port/ocsinventory. You can also specify https if your server is SSL enabled to secure communication.If you've protected your Communication Server access with credentials, you must specify credentialsagent will use to authenticate (these credentials will be encrypted to be stored into configuration file).If you're aware of server certificate validation when using HTTPS protocol, either for sending inventoryor deploying package, you can disable it. However, this is a security flaw! We do not recommend disablingcertificate validation because Agent does not authenticate server. With certificate validation enabled,you must specify path to Certificate Authority root certificate (default uses'%ProgramData%OCS Inventory NGAgentcacert.pem'). Then click “Next” button.

Note: You can use self-signed certificate, but certificate CN must equal to server address used by agentsfor communications. Also, if full path to certificate is not provided, agent will try to load the specifiedfile from its data folder '%ProgramData%OCS Inventory NGAgent'.

If needed, select proxy type to use to connect to Communication Server, proxy address and port, andproxy credentials if required (these credentials will be encrypted to be stored into configuration file).Agent support HTTP, SOCKS 4 and SOCKS 5 proxies.

By default, OCS Inventory Agent write only few information in log files. You may increasethis enabling “Verbose log”. You may also disable TAG question, or specify the TAG value. Last,indicate which level of system integration you need:

Do not register service using LocalSystem account (i.e, use standalone agent, which must be launched manually or using login script).

Do not configure OCS Inventory NG Systray Applet to start automatically when user log in. This applet allows user to manually run agent, or to display inventory information. Disabling this option does not create shortcut link in 'All users' startup menu.

Launch inventory just at the end of setup.

Choose destination folder, “C:Program FilesOCS Inventory Agent” by default(“C:Program Files (x86)OCS Inventory Agent” under Windows 64 bits), and click “Install” button.

Click “Finish” button to close OCS inventory NG Agent Setup.

This is the interactive installation setup. However, this process requires that you launch it underall your computers. Hopefully, this installation can be scripted.

Service Agent setup 'OCS-NG-Windows-Agent-Setup.exe' may be called with some command line parameters:

/S to run the installer in silent mode, no interaction with user

/NOSPLASH disable splash screen when installer starts

/NO_SERVICE to not register OCS Inventory NG Agent into Windows Service Manager. Agent can only be launched manually or through a script/GPO.

/NO_SYSTRAY to not create a shortcut into 'All Users' startup folder to start systray applet when user log in.

/D to install ocsinventory agent in an another directory (default %PROGRAMFILES%ocs inventory agent)

/UPGRADE to deploy new agent through OCS deployment feature. Because you upgrade agent using agent itself to run the upgrade, it is needed to notify the installer (which terminates agent's processes) to specify the result in order to send it back to the server next time agent will run.

Note: Please, don't use OCSPackager to upgrade OCS Inventory Windows Agent. Create deployement package with 'OCS-NG-Windows-Agent-Setup.exe' on zip file and launch with command example : OCS-NG-Windows-Agent-Setup.exe /S /UPGRADE /SERVER=ocs_server_address

Deploying or running Agent through Active Directory GPO

Note: We recommend using service version of Agent if you plan to use package deployment feature.

To deploy the agent using GPO we recommand you to create a standalone packager with all your configuration already provisionned. See using OCS Packager to create an all-in-one installer to setup agent and server certificate

After creating a packager, you will need to store it at a place where all your users have access to.

Then create a GPO that trigger on user login. You will have a create a script that call the packager executable and trigger the installation on the computer.

Using PSEXEC or 'OCS Inventory NG Agent Deployment Tool' to push OCS Inventory NG Agent

PSEXEC from Microsoft (https://technet.microsoft.com/fr-fr/sysinternals/psexec) is a great and fast way to install the OCS agents on all Windows computers, you can literally setup mostof your computers in a few hours (assuming they are all connected to the network, that is).

Note: We've created a graphical tool for Windows, OCS Inventory NG Agent Deployment Tool, which allowsyou to use PSEXEC more easily. It is able to push agent's installation on up to 10 computers simultaneously,and also to copy the certificate used to authenticate deployment server in OCS Inventory NG data folder.

As you might guess from the name, Corel Painter is focused on painting. But this should be great for artists who only want software to draw or paint digitally.

It has a 2.5D brush toolset that mimics real-world brushes giving you full control over the final “style” of your work.

Painter has been a serious alternative to Photoshop for several years and is the company always listens to user requests. They’ve been working hard to add new features every year and have added a bunch of artist-suggested tools into their latest release.

Krita hasn’t released many official tutorial videos but they have created detailed documentation online. If it’s your first venture into digital art then start off learning about the basic UI and toolsets.

Use the pop-up pallet to select your brushes, erasers, and colors intuitively. All other tools are stored in the panels to the left and right. Krita supports PSD files so that you can switch between Photoshop and Krita with ease.

And there’s a ton of freebies online like free brush packs that mimic everything from charcoal to watercolors and so much more. The beauty of Krita is the free price tag and the immensely supportive community around this software.

Krita has been criticized by some professional artists for its lag, seemingly unintuitive design, and uneven brush softness. Although the criticism has merit, the program’s core features work well and you will learn them with practice.

Also worth noting this has to be the absolute best choice for anyone on a Linux machine. Photoshop does not support Linux outside of a virtual emulator but Krita can run natively in any Linux distro.

This is a huge +1 for Krita since it’s really the best digital painting alternative for our Linux & Unix friends.

If you don’t have the cash to burn on digital art programs Krita is the perfect choice.

Use the program while you save up some money to grab another program. Or just stick with Krita and use it free for life! Many professional artists like David Revoy create all of their work with Krita and their stuff looks amazing.

Best thing about Krita is that it’s simple for beginners to learn and it doesn’t confuse you with a ton features or fancy tools. Krita’s purpose is digital painting and that’s precisely what it does well.

Clip Studio Paint

Price: $49 Platforms: Mac, Windows

Clip Studio Paint is the most popular software for creating comics and manga artwork.

Clip Studio Paint was originally named Manga Studio but changed names in 2013. It originated in Japan as specialist software for manga, illustration, and animators.

The program has long been a worldwide affordable alternative to Photoshop for digital artists but got more recognition with the name change.

The most notable drawing difference between Clip Studio Paint and Photoshop is the brush tool. In Clip Studio the brush tool instantly corrects any minor wobble you make while drawing on a tablet, leaving you with smooth clean linework.

Clip Studio is optimized for comic book creation and has various tools to speed up the process.

A canvas layout tool makes paneling quick with perspective rulers and a library of predefined formats. The pen tool lets you to work in a versatile vector format which means your creations can be scalable without quality loss.

In the most recent release there’s a new library of 3D objects and posable models. This is useful for concept artists who like to use references to get poses down quickly.

You can drop in a 3D model, pose it using an intuitive joint system, change the camera angle, make the character fat or thin, and choose between genders. After you’ve drawn over it you can use that same model’s shading as a reference for lighting.

Then when you’re done just delete it. Easy-peasy.

With CSP your art will always have a crisp digital finish as the software doesn’t strive for a traditional look. Although it’s possible to give your brush strokes a blended texture using brushes, Clip Studio Paint is not designed to mimic traditional mediums.

The standard version of Clip Studio Paint also comes with some very basic animation features. You can quickly test character movement over 24 frames without the annoyance of switching programs. But this is not really the best software for animation so it works best in conjunction with other programs for that purpose.

Now Clip Studio Paint comes in two versions: PRO(standard) and EX(full-featured).

Unless you’re planning on putting all of your projects through Clip Studio Paint and creating various manga & comic books, you’ll probably be happy with the PRO version. The EX edition has only a few extra features that would benefit expert users.

Mac Painting App

EX lets you save manga & comic pages in a ‘book’ which acts like one editable file. You can then bulk save them for printing which shaves off a ton of time and organizational effort.

The animation feature also gets an upgrade with EX and you can create an unlimited number of frames(instead of the standard 24).

EX comes with filters for 3D assets too turning them black and white for easier integration into your scenes.

Generally speaking, the PRO version is the same and EX minus the above features. It’s unlikely you’ll need those features as a digital painter or concept artist. Only serious comic and manga artists would find the EX features useful.

Try out either version with a free 30-day trial of both PRO and EX versions. If you don’t like it then just move on. The free version does give plenty to toy with so you’ll know whether you like CSP or don’t.

And it’s worth mentioning that the PRO edition is an affordable option at only $49 flat fee, while EX comes at a premium of $219.

Although sometimes you can get CSP at a discounted rate from annual sales so keep checking their prices.

GIMP

Price: Free Platforms: Mac, Windows, Linux

GIMP is another open source program built as a free Photoshop alternative.

Back when computer graphics were slowly becoming “a thing” it was up to software developers to create graphics for companies. With Photoshop costing a lot more back then, buying it was out of the budget for many companies.

GIMP was built to fill the need for a cheaper option to digital imaging editing software.

Unlike other free digital art software, GIMP was designed to be a full replacement for Photoshop. This means you can use it for digital painting but it’s really meant for graphic design, photo editing, text effects, and similar features.

Likewise this program has all the tools you need for digital art. If you are looking for Photoshop’s functionality without the price tag you’ll be happy to with GIMP’s default functionality.

If you know a little about software development you can also add to GIMP’s code by creating your own plugins for the system. But the default setup is more than enough for artists.

Many versions of GIMP have been released over the years, but their team of volunteers hasn’t been able to keep up with the sheer financial power of Adobe. The user interface is definitely unrefined and will be very confusing to beginners.

There are loads of GIMP tutorials created by their loyal users and there’s enough content to help you learn everything you need about the software.

Although GIMP doesn’t have a dedicated support team to answer your questions, many issues are well documented on various forums and you’ll be able to troubleshoot a solution with a few Google searches.

The painting tools are reasonable, although in my opinion Krita is a stronger option if you just need painting.

Granted you can find plenty of free GIMP brushes all made for digital drawing & painting.

But really this software is the best all-round alternative to Photoshop. If you see yourself doing a bit of design work, some painting, and some photo editing, try out GIMP and see what you think.

ArtRage

Price: $79 Platforms: Mac, Windows

ArtRage is a digital painting powerhouse that’s perfect for traditional artists moving digital and for existing professional artists.

Unlike other digital art programs, ArtRage has stepped away from the complicated user interface and ditched the blocky side panels. They want your focus on the canvas creating great work.

When you open the program you’ll find a semi-circular brush picker on the bottom left of the screen and a color picker on the bottom right. Both give you immediate access to the most important tools.

Small “pods” containing extra options hover just above the circles, minimizing extra clutter.

After you’ve picked your color and brush you can start drawing on the canvas. The UI automatically disappears(although this setting is optional) and without the UI you get a full screen canvas to work on without any distractions. Pretty cool!

If you’ve never used digital painting software before then ArtRage is fantastic. It’s beginner friendly and super affordable.

You can start off slow, familiarizing yourself with the various brushes, and slowly work your way up to painting full scenes and character designs.

If you are coming from Photoshop you’ll find the minimalist layout refreshing and easy to pick up. The brush presets are so good that you don’t need to waste time adjusting them much at all.

One of ArtRage’s most exciting features is called “real color blending”. It calculates realistic color mixing as you paint and it’s useful for digital painting in an oil or watercolor style.

If you want to try your hand at digital painting for the first time, this software will hold your hand and take you from hobbyist to professional if you put in the effort.

It doesn’t have all the gadgets and gizmos that some prominent art programs have, but it’s got all you need to make fun paintings(and a little extra).

ArtRage is budget software and friendly to those getting started. You can also use the demo version for an unlimited amount of time. The demo doesn’t let you save anything, which of course is a drag, but you can use that to familiarize yourself with the program.

If you decide you want the full version it costs $79 and you’ll receive all future updates included with your license.

If that sounds a bit expensive you could go for ArtRage Lite which is only $29.90. The lite version is great for beginners and includes all the painting features of the full version.

Think of this much like Krita but aimed for simplicity. It’s cheap enough that you could run ArtRage for life and it’s certainly refreshing when you come from a big bulky art program.

Paint Tool SAI

Price: $49 Platforms: Windows

Lastly on this list is Paint Tool SAI: a simple painting program that’s exceptionally popular among anime & manga artists.

Paint Tool SAI was first released in 2008 to a wave of popularity. It quickly spread among the art community who loved the clean brush strokes and unique interface.

SAI is a small, old program and has not been significantly updated over the years. It only runs on windows and has a limited set of features.

That being said, it’s aged remarkably well and is easy for beginners to pick up.

Many artists use SAI to achieve a digital watercolor effect where the blending modes can mimic watercolor, but the overall feel is smooth and sleek. Others use it primarily for lineart, or for creating a ton of anime.

You’ll find that Japanese artists almost exclusively use SAI for their artwork. It’s a very popular choice in Japan, likely because this software was originally developed by the Japanese Systemax Software.

SAI’s learning curve is minimal and if you’re coming from Photoshop you’ll pick it up almost instantly. It’s still very detailed though and great to use as a sketching program.

Use the pencil brush to get realistic sketches down on a textured canvas. Then switch over to brushes and color your line art to completion.

Now there are some minor limitations like that new projects are limited to 256 layers per canvas. It’s also known to slow down with larger file sizes and glitch when trying to preview .gifs in the explorer window.

They also have a weird system of brushes where you can import textures to merge with brush styles and create totally new brushes. I haven’t mastered this setup but you can find a ton of textures in this post with dozens of free brush assets for SAI users.

Painting Program For Mac Free

SAI is a Japanese program and is priced in JPY(Japanese Yen). It costs ¥5400 which roughly equates to $49.

Compared to other software on this list, SAI is a tad on the pricier side considering the last update was in 2016.

Small complaints aside, considering the price tag and the anime-centric fanbase I’d say SAI is an awesome choice for anime lovers the world over.

Graphics Painting Program For Mac

Get started using SAI by following some easy beginner tutorials on painting in the program. If you put in the time you’ll be a pro within a few weeks.

A fantastic program for anyone serious about anime-style art or any kind of digital painting. Biggest downside is you’ll have to be a Windows user.

Here’s hoping even more digital art software comes out in the next 10 years and gives some stiff competition to Adobe’s reign.

Mac Os Sketch

Sketch is a vector graphics editor for macOS developed by the Dutch company Sketch B.V. (formerly named Bohemian Coding). It was first released on 7 September 2010(1) and won an Apple Design Award in 2012.(2)

It is primarily used for user interface and user experience design of websites and mobile apps and does not include print design features.(3) Sketch has more recently added features for prototyping and collaboration. Being only available for macOS, third party software and handoff tools may be used to view Sketch designs on other platforms.(4)

Sketch is used primarily for designing the UI and UX of mobile apps and web. The files designed in Sketch are saved in its own .sketch file format, though .sketch files can be opened in Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and other programs. The designs can also be saved in the popular PNG, JPG, SVG, PDF, TIFF, WebP, etc., formats. The designs created in Sketch are utilized by app engineers to design mobile apps and by website developers convert designs into websites.(5)

Although Sketch was previously sold through the App Store, the developers pulled the app from the store in December 2015 and instead sold it through their own website. They cited Apple's strict technical guidelines, slow review process and lack of upgrade pricing as reasons for the decision.(6) On 8 June 2016, they announced on their blog that they were switching to a new licensing system for Sketch. Licenses would allow users to receive updates for 1 year, after which they could continue using the last version published prior to the license expiring, or renew their license to continue receiving updates for another year.(7)
