“Therefore we must give pay attention  to the things we have heard, lest we drift away” (Hebrews 2:1).
The history of God’s people has been one of backsliding, neglecting and forgetting God. But a remnant, tried and tested, remained faithful to God. These were the ones who entered the Promised Land. Even the most devoted believer can begin drifting by getting lazy and passive about the things of the Lord. Once that begins to happen, it becomes harder and harder to get back into intimate communion with Christ. How is your relationship with your Creator? Have you been so busy that you have no time for Him anymore? Do you remember a time when you felt nearer to Him than you do now? When you felt His presence more readily and heard His voice more clearly? Perhaps we need to examine our hearts to be sure we are in close communion with Jesus or not.

Good Morning!☀
Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. 1 John 4:4
When we accept Christ as our savior, he fills us with his Spirit. The Holy Spirit gives us power to live the way we are supposed to. He does not make us do right, but he gives us the power to do right. We still have the freedom to choose to go another way.
God has made every provision for victorious Christian living. We must remember that the internal rules over the external. Our power and strength come from within, not without.
No matter what the world throws your way, remember, Greater is he that is in you than he that is in the world!

There's so much bad press on the Holy Spirit these days. Just like looking in the mirror and being honest about our errors, we should humbly embrace the need to be sharpened and shaped by Scripture. Here are five ways we misrepresent Him and the one solution that will lead to a proper view...

True spirituality manifests itself in certain dominant desires
Tumblr media
by Aiden Wilson Tozer
First is the desire to be holy rather than happy.
A man may be considered spiritual when he wants to see the honor of God advanced through his life even if it means that he himself must suffer temporary dishonor or loss.
The spiritual man wants to carry his cross.
Again, a Christian is spiritual when he sees everything from God’s viewpoint.
Another desire of the spiritual man is to die right rather than to live wrong.
The desire to see others advance at his expense.
The spiritual man habitually makes eternity-judgments instead of time-judgments.

How priceless is your unfailing love, O God! People take refuge in the shadow of your wings. Psalm 36:7
When you are fearful, when you are sick, when you have nothing or nobody to lean on, when things seem hopeless, you can run to God.
We can take refuge in the shadow of His wings. And when we do that, just like a hen gathers up her chicks under her wings when threatened, God gathers us under His wings. Here there is safety, there is provision, there is love, joy and peace.
Pray: Heavenly Father, thank you for taking care of me. Your unfailing love is priceless. Your love, LORD, reaches to the heavens, your faithfulness to the skies. I take refuge in You, safe from the raging storms. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
