GUJ CM INAUGURATES FIRST FLIGHT SERVICE CONNECTING AHMEDABAD TO MUNDRA
Gujarat Chief Minister Mr. Vijay Rupani today inaugurated First Flight Service from Ahmedabad Airport connecting ‘Ahmedabad to Mundra’. Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi inaugurated the UDAN service (Ude Desh ka Aam Nagrik) with a vision that a common man can even travel in flight, said Mr. Rupani.
State Government’s goal is that the citizens of the state get maximum benefit of this scheme. State Government has made efforts to raise regional connectivity.
It is worth to mention that, Air Odisha has launched this service under UDAN scheme of Government of India. Air Odisha is a joint venture of Gujarat State Export Corporation Limited (GSEC), Monark group and Air Deccan.
Mr. Rupani said that, Air travel is always a dream of common man. It is the goal of Central Government that a common citizen of the country can travel in flight at cheap rates. A three-way agreement has been signed for Regional Connectivity Scheme between GoG, Civil Aviation Ministry and Airport Authority of India. Gujarat is also one of the state to sign such agreement. 19 States and 3 Union Territories of the country are benefiting through Regional Connectivity Scheme- UDAN.

Gujarat Cleanliness Mission
Gujarat has taken leading step towards achieving the goal of the nation-wide mission for cleanliness. The campaign was kicked off in Porbandar where Chief Minister Anandiben Patel picked up broom and participated in the cleaning drive, thus emphasizing that the realization of this goal will happen only through the participation of each and every citizen. Our Prime Minister Narendra Modi has visualized a clean India by 2019, which is the 175th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, the inspiration behind this campaign.
The digital media is the best form of communication to connect with a large number of people constantly. The Government of Gujarat recognized this power of the media, and took the “SwachhataMission” online. Www.msgn-gujarat.in was launched by the CM to serve as a means of communication specifically dedicated to the Swachhata Mission. This website has all the information that one might seek about the cleanliness mission of the state.
A community platform-vibrant safari and a digital platform citizen clean were launched by the CM to achieve better results for the cleanliness mission. The goal of this is to enhance the citizen engagement in the cleanliness mission in the state. Vibrant safari provides a platform for volunteers to register themselves to offer their contributions to the cleanliness mission.
An online monitoring system has been set up to assess the progress and the scenario of cleanliness covering all government building including the Chief Minister's office, other government offices, schools and hospitals in the entire state. Gujarat has taken up the cleanliness drive with a lot of fervor and dedication.
The CM formulated Pradhan Mantri Swachhata Mission Samiti under the chairmanship of Shri Bhupendrasinh Chudasma, to ensure the cleanliness activities in a time-bound manner.
