The Sinners Movie was overall Dope. Definitely was a movie designed to appreciate your heritage that stems from black people hailing in America🌎

One thing I found interesting is Ryan Coogler inspiration for the twins aspect. As seen above he mentions how he was inspired by the Yoruba Twin dieties Ibeji. He also mentioned it resonates because he has twins within his family. I also had that in common as well. My Paternal 2x Great Grandpa was a twin and helped raised my Papa(Paternal Grandfather) . And on my mother's side I was told there were 7/8 sets of twins . Now I will say not all made it to full term but I know of at least 3 sets of twins I knew and my mother grew up with. Definitely a dope aspect overall

A good case for the movie "Sinners" and racism being very much alive and an unrepentant abuse of "others" that white Americans refuse to confront and stop.

Often white people don't fully understand the saying "black people have to work ten times as hard" or maybe they don't care. But as human beings we should. Racists use the same tactics that abusers use because they are just that. In 2025, white actors are the ones that were listened to when they said "wait a minute, w t f is this headline for a movie that actually did well over the original budget?!"

This creator also brought up how FJL showed that Quentin Tarantino's film made less bank than Coogler's "Sinners" had a very different headline.

Although, we're in a day and age where places, like Target lose business significantly for their anti-POC abuse, and COSTCO who gives a middle finger to fascists, the US dicktator, and increased their employee wages; Hollywood still has not let go and has been instrumental in the perpetuation of white supremacy, just like the daughters of the confederacy gutted and obstructed education and spreading true history of these United States.

True allies need to remember how deep the roots of oppression and white supremacy are in this country even the world. Anti-blackness is sadly global. We have worked hard to point out discrimination in many sectors that white supremacists goalposts and dog-whistles that have been subtle in the past are now being caught by white people.
