for five years i thought i was on the NHS gender clinic waiting list and i found out at the start of this year that i wasnt. i got referred again but i am back to waiting 5 (or more) years. my mental health is failing and this is making it significantly worse.

Their house in Khan Younis was destroyed with them inside, as well as the clothing store which supported their family. Now, they live in a weak tent which fails to protect them from even the weather, surrounded by scarcity and disease on the coast of Ghazzah.

im a 27 y/o british trans man whos been entirely unable to access nhs trans healthcare for the whole time ive been in need of it, just over 10 years. being trans for me has been a long ordeal of waiting lists, discharges without explanation, paying massive amounts out of pocket to get my hrt privately, supply chain disruptions, and a period of forced detransition.

this has been going on long enough that it had disasterous consequences for my highschool education and ive been neet ever since, with all attempts at self employment eventually failing thanks to my poor health. a decade of mishandled debilitating dysphoria and unreliable and expensive trans healthcare, as well as countless other instances of medical negligence surrounding my mental health and physical symptoms has left me incredibly ill, disabled, and in poverty. its just been breaking point after breaking point and ive been left at complete rock bottom. im seriously struggling to cope with it anymore.

if you chose one of the answers on this poll, i would really appreciate the share. i am an afro-indigenous, severely disabled/medically complex person with no support system near me. i was homeless from december 2023 to september 2024 and it was an extremely hard time for me, especially since my chronic illness makes me very vulnerable.

i cant get more gov assistance rn for a few different reasons but i still need help paying bills every month. my storage bill is currently late, i owe klarna a bunch this week, rent is due at the end of fhe month, and i'm running low on food stamps.

a friend just tipped me off about Fund a Kitchen in Gaza, a free tool that helps you locate and donate to community kitchens currently serving some of Gaza's most vulnerable!

this lets you choose a region (south, central, north) and see which kitchens operate in that area, then donate to as many as you can.

as a reminder, community kitchens try to buy and cook in bulk, which makes ingredients last longer & sustain more people in the conditions of extreme scarcity that Israel is imposing right now. they are also able to serve people on the ground who may not have the means to reach out online.

so, whether through this tool or not, please do support community kitchens, as well as mutual aid groups that cover additional needs, such as the Sameer Project (meals, tents, cash aid, medical aid) and Dahnoun Mutual Aid (meals, tents, baby supplies, cash aid, winter clothes).
