It was confirmed in an SBS a while back that Chopper was unable to develop a cure for the SMILES, but if and when he does and he uses it to cure Killer, do you have any idea how much that's going to mean to Killer and Kid and the rest of the Kid pirates?

I want them to fucking ADORE Chopper after that. They're hoisting him up like the crowd at a rock concert cheering for him and Chopper is half flattered and half terrified because the most brutal pirates of his generation are tossing him around like a fluffy little beachball.😭

Kid's still shit-talking Luffy, but when the rest of the Strawhats are around the exchanges are more like "I'M WAY MORE QUALIFIED TO BE KING OF THE PIRATES THAN YOU, YOU BASTARD, SO JUST STAY OUT OF MY- oh, hey Chopper, what's up? That's a sick hat-WAY OR I'LL TIE YOU IN A KNOT!!" And then Chopper goes over to talk to Killer and share a snack while their captains finish arguing.

Now that Killer can swim again he dives in to save both Kid AND Chopper. Not any of the other Strawhats, just Chopper.
