Love it when someone tells you, "Don't be discouraged!" about something and you have to hold yourself back from laughing. Discouraged? Oh, I'm not discouraged.

My confidence in my ability to do what you want me to do has sunk so low I am finding pieces of the Titanic, and you helped drive it there.

(This is about work BTW, a place where I have not been given a compliment or encouragement by upper management in about five years now. All I get is told that I need to do better, figure out the solutions to problems on my own, and immediately fix every problem that five+ years of being in career survival mode has created.

I am so tired but don't have many other options.)

While the power was out on Thursday I spent some of the remaining daylight sorting through my tins of YGO cards. Keep meaning to get a proper binder for them, but for now they are all in sleeves in the tins they came in. As I was going through the piles I found one of the first cards I picked up after getting back into collecting: Maiden of the Millennium Moon. I don't actually play the card game IRL, I just collect cards based on whims and vibes (whims if picking up booster packs or premade decks in stores, vibes if going through bulk cards at a game shop). But Maiden of the Millennium Moon was an instant pick, because it reminded me so much of my girl Sanura.

Over the years I have said that Sanura doesn't have a soul beast, but that was mostly because I never found a monster (that existed at the time of her creation) that suited her. When I found the above card in the bulk bins of the card shop it immediately clicked that if she did have one, Maiden of the Millennium Moon would be it. Yeah, yeah, the character was created fifteen years or more before the card was, but why let that stop me when the match is perfect?

Not only do Sanura and Maiden of the Millennium Moon share a very similar color palette, but one of Maiden's effects protects level 5 or higher Spellcaster monsters from other card effects for a full turn.

Who has and/or becomes a level 5 or higher Spellcaster monster?

Her husband, Mahaad.

At some point I'll get a comm of Sanura in Maiden's outfit just for fun. At present I have no verses with my RP partner where she has a soul beast so this is more of a 'what if' trivia sort of thing. Now if I could just figure out soul beasts and ace monsters for my other OCs...
