Text
The couple usually sits down and plans out the full guest list together -- that way you don’t over-invite people, and you can make sure there’s a balance of work friends, family, etc. That said, from a narrative standpoint it was clear that Robin was worried Matthew would object due to jealousy, since inviting your boss is pretty standard as long as you don’t hate them.
Got a question!
Yesterday I wrote that I’m re-reading The silkworm and while reading the moments about Robin thnking inviting Cormoran to the wedding I couldn’t but wonder…
Is a bride not allowed to invite someone she wants to her wedding without asking the permition/opinion of the groom? Is this how it’s done in England or is yet another thing to show us how much has Matthew over some of Robin’s actions?
And last but not least! I’m so happy I found this fandom in which we share so much things about the books and tv-show!

Holliday Grainger and Tom Burke from “Strike” (based on the detective novels of JK Rowling/Robert Galbraith) discuss their own reading habits.
Holliday’s answer is great, poor Tom seems like he’s having to stall for time.
