                                     EVE    !

      short legs halted as she was stopped, meadow hues whipping up to the new acquaintance. she wasn’t used to being controlled, no matter how small, so forgive her shooting daggers at the only person who had tried helping her lately.     however, she tears her eyes away to observe what ellie was so worried about in the first place, the spores. ellie’s words passed through her mind clearly as she looked over && saw the gas mask. oh stars did her eyes light up at the sight, despite the circumstances. ‘ oh F U C K yeah!! ‘      black straps slid over fiery locks as she turned to ellie, ‘ but.. what about yours?? you C A N ’ T turn.. i’ll be all alone again. ‘ 

  if  looks  could  kill   ,   ellie   knew   she  would've  been  six  feet  under  by  now  .   she  ignores  it  though   ,   she  even  smiles  a  little  bit  because  she's  almost  positive  she  was  the  same  way  when  she  first  started    '  taking  orders  '  from  joel  .     her  smile  even  grew  a  teeny  bit  at  the  other  females  excited  exclamation  after  seeing  the  gas  mask  .    it  was  ironic  .    despite  the  reason    WHY    she  needed  the  gas  mask    ,    she  still  seemed  excited  to  get  it  and  ellie  admired  it  .      wanting  to  dismissively  wave  a  hand  as  eve  begins  to  worry   ,    the  last  words  that  end  her  sentence  are  the  only  reason  that  instead  of  doing  that  ,  ellie  decides  to  rest  a  hand  on  her  back  .    she's  not  sure  if  she  steps  a  line  doing  so  or  not   ,   but  she   hopes   eve  takes  it  as  an  act  of  comfort  .       ❛   you're  not  gonna  be   alone   ...  you're  more  right  than  you  realize  .   i  can't  turn  ...  i  would've  already  .    but   ,   it  turns  out  i'm  immune  .    ❜       and  she  found  that  out  the  hard  way  .   she  thinks  about  showing  her  the  bite  mark  on  her  arm  from  when  she  was  first  bitten  ,  but  she's  not  sure  how  useful  it  would  be  seeing  as  it's  now  mostly  covered  by  a  tattoo  .   ❛   i’m  gonna  be  fine  ...  i  promise  .  are  you  ready  to  go  in  ?   ❜

“i know we don’t have to but—do you know how hard it is not showing you off?” she asked, a small smile forming on her face. “you’re beautiful and funny and smart and strong, all i wanna do is brag about you.” she said, reaching up and running her fingertips over the others cheek gently. “i’m glad you won’t end up hating me though. i’m not sure i could handle that.” a full smiles breaks out now and she can feel a blush flush over her face. “okay okay, i give you permission to love me.” she teased, stepping closer to the other. “but ya gotta promise to let me love you back too.”
