THE WORST THING ABOUT MEDIA CENSORSHIP IS..... [content has been hidden due to hate speech]
When we look up information on the internet, as well as watching news reporting, listening to broadcasts, reading the newspaper and scrolling through social media, there are certain information that is hidden and/or limited to the public, such include: graphic view, hate speech, mass influence, and information that is considered harmful, offensive and sensitive to the public, that may result into civil disobedience, possible rebellion and conflict. These censorships are done by authorities such: the government, private organizations, religion, and institutions that are responsible and concerned for public safety and peace. These censorships happen due to many grounds. The following, are different classifications of Media Censorship, explaining its importance in keeping peace, or silencing possible criticism that may or may not be helpful.
MEDIA CENSORSHIP CLASSIFICATIONS
1. Political censorship
Since media has been used around the world to widely share information to everyone that has access, there is a role for authorities to censor data. This type of censorship happens, as government authorities conceal and prevent information to disseminate to their citizens, to control the expression of statements from the people and prevent possible triggers of rebellion. This censorship is disagreed by people, since it can be used to manipulate the people by limiting the information they perceive. Such, in elections, wherein negative information of a candidate can be hidden from the public, by authority. However, this may also help reduce the chances of dishonesty and the censorship of the government activities than may include corruption and dishonesty from their people.
2. Religious Censorship
This censorship, is clearly done by churches and religion to prohibit absurd, disrespectful and uncivil information that opposes the teachings and faith of their religion.
Example: The Satanic Verses
3. Moral Censorship
In this type of censorship, sensitive information such as violence, inappropriate acts and sexual acts with such nudity and pornography are not shown to the public. This censorship coordinates with Educational Censorship.
4. Corporate Censorship
Censorship wherein, editors of the corporate media, prevents information that may cause negative impact on their business and/or business partners, they may also intervene other offers by certain companies that may be competition for exposure that will greatly affect their marketing.
5. Military Censorship
In the military, information is very crucial, whether in the battle field itself, communication among military men, strategy and tactics. When certain information, such can be the location and effective plan for the country, gets shared to the media, by the time possible attacks could occur, the opposing force may already have a strategy to counter the concrete plan made by the military. Therefore, to lessen and prevent this occurrence, plans and strategies from the military must be hidden to the public, by any form of media. Though there are news given as view and open for public viewing, media must be extremely cautious with the information they present, to not reveal plans, locations, men of the army and in any that may be taken advantage of the counter.
Truly, media can make bad situations worse. One incident that has proven this statement is, the Manila Hostage Crisis (Rizal Park Hostage Taking) on August 3rd of 2010. Wherein, media brought live broadcast that showed information being done by the SWAT and the PNP to the public, a mistake that is enough to in rage the hostage taker that had access on media, by the television provided in the tourist bus. The hostage taker has seen the location of snipers, as well as when the police arrested his brother that claimed to help negotiate with Mendoza (hostage taker) but had brought a weapon to the hostage scene, this reasons for his arrest. From this, Mendoza open fired. Now that there were no civilians the forces would protect, they had the chance to do whatever it took to arrest Mendoza. They eventually lead the hostage taker to the front of the bus, and one sniper, took the shot. Mendoza was killed with one bullet, on his head. In the end, everyone was in shock to reveal that the tourists (from HK) were alive, and that Mendoza used them only to threaten the forces and manipulate them into getting what he stood for.
People on the internet argue up to this day, that media was responsible for the disaster. From this incident, the people behind the media were penalized (penalized only).
6. Self-Censorship
Self-Censorship is done by suppressing an act, thought or strong opinion over an individual that others may find disturbing. This may be done by people who are to be a huge influence to the public such as, writers, production management, and people from any form of media.
7. Reverse Censorship
This is a censorship, is in a form of spreading fake and deceiving news to the public.
Media Censorship however, does not only revolve and focus on media, censorships are also applied to books, films, television shows, even in children’s cartoon shows, music, art, art galleries, violence shown in games, and the most powerful influence, internet and social media.
You may ask: “HAVE YOU SEEN GTA AND SUMMERTIME SAGA”
Yes, we have actually. This game along with other simulation games that contain graphic violence, abuse of certain drugs, sexual contents and harass are still limited to the public. The content rating for GTA is PEGI 18 and should only be for adults. These games require parental guidance, we must remember that it is still, our/parent’s responsibility to protect ourselves/us from any of these sensitive and graphic view that are not suitable for our developing minds. As for the government, they have the authority to ban games, TV shows, books and writings from the people.
Examples: Animal Crossing banned in China, Flappy Bird (2013), Peppa Pig episode banned in Australia, where Peppa and George was shown playing with a black spider (Mister Skinny Legs) has influenced children to play with dangerous spiders that resembles the “friendly” spider in the show, GTA V banned in countries; Thailand, Venezuela, Pakistan, South Africa and Argentina.
Now that you were given ideas about censorship, answer the questions <3 uWuuuuUuUUU!!!

Core 4518
“mountain peek”
heck a sunshine with a blast of moon abyss,
such peek of a smile, that brightens the unworthy, has the deepest unknowns
I say, let you be and never stop shining,
for golds, you made me show my spring and winter
from then you saw inside me, within
deeper than any unknown,
farthest of all far
I say I regret, for causing night and struggle to shine once more,
you had your abyss again,
you had to become, once again a general
a new tree grew out of me,
tree, that grows bitter fruit from roots of my own
I’ll become a tree,
you no longer have to shine
I would still be growing, far from your sunlight
I say, shine, let you be,
“shine, let you be”.
