The Tycoon and the Heiress
By: CC
-1-
Michael took a solemn sip of his morning coffee, more from the habit then from anything else as he looked out at the grounds of the Quartermaine estate. He was surprised by the calm that surrounded him now, in the midst of the wild storm that had become his life over the last few weeks.
First his adoptive father Sonny Corinthos was found dead, crushed by a tree after a lightening strike. The only real surprise was that he just died, and not months before. He’d been hiding, somewhere, it didn’t matter, it just at the end of the day Sonny Corinthos has proved to be a coward.
Then his mother and her ex-husband Jax were killed in a car accident. They’d been driven off the road by Alexis Davis, in another one of her infamous driving accidents. For now his teenage sister was living here, in his biological families home with him. Joss spent a good amount of time alone in her room, occasionally visited by her two friends Cameron and Trina.
Michael was thankful his Grandmother had the kindness in her that she did. Monica had lost so much, all of her children gone, one way or another. Those that weren’t memorialized in the family mausoleum, were well his Uncle Jason was now sitting in prison on charges of racketeering and murder.
“You look about as thrilled with life as I do.” Maxie Jones’ voice tickled his ears from the doorway.
Michael turned, “Maxie, what brings you by?”
“Sam asked me to check in on Scout and Danny.” She sighed.
He gestured towards the coffee, “Did she mention how Kristina was doing?”
“She’s still looking for her.” Maxie moved towards him, accepting a cup, “She’s afraid she got back in touch with some of Shiloh’s girls. Sasha gave her the contact information for the ones she could.”
“How are you holding up, with everything that’s happened?” He handed her the coffee cup.
Maxie took a moment to think about it, “Better then expected. I started thinking about it the other night while putting James to bed, and part of me always knew something wasn’t as it seemed with Peter. The thought of him being Nathan’s brother, that there was a part of Nathan still alive, let me cling to him, the fantasy.”
Michaels eyes landed on his and Willow’s wedding portrait, “I get what you mean.”
“What about you Michael, how are you handling it all?”
“I’m trying to hold it together for Joss. She’s lost so much, and if I don’t hold it together, I don’t know if I’ll be able to put myself back together.”
“I get that, I felt that way after my sister died, after Nathan died. You are allowed to feel your emotions Michael, don’t keep them hidden even from yourself.”
“Thanks Maxie.” Michael sighed as he sat on the couch, “You know what gets me, trying to figure out the financial mess they all left behind.”
“Really, is it that bad?”
“Yeah, Sonny’s deals were more illegal than I imagined, all tied to Jason and my Mother. Her dealings, looked to be straightforward at first, and then not so. She had secret accounts in Switzerland, the Caymans, and digging out of that mess is difficult. Jax, his stuff clean, great, Joss is set for life. She can go to any college she wants; she can take over the company if she wants, she can sell it off.”
“I get it, trying to untangle the mess Peter left behind hasn’t been easy, Dante he’s been helpful though. You’ve got a good big brother.”
“I’m glad you two have each other.”
“Who do you have Michael, and don’t tell me your son, or sister.”
Maxie watched as he didn’t answer, “Okay, the last few months perhaps have not been the best for friendships or even romance for you. Do yourself and Joss a favor, go out, even if it’s just for a run in the park.”
“What about you?”
“For now, I have a friend, your brother, Spinelli, I have James to take care of, Georgie, too. It’s helped me heal from everything Michael. I just hope that you can start healing as well.”
“A run would be nice.”
“Probably should get ready for the Nurses Ball, Lucy will be running around town any day now looking for acts. I heard Milo really wants to do the magic wands act.”
Michael groaned, “Okay, I’ll go for a run, get out of this house at least.”
“See, that’s a start.”
“You should bring James by to play with the kids.”
“I will, it’ll be good for all of them all, for us. I’ve got to get to work, but I’ll email you to set something up.”
“Sounds great.” Michael rose, leading her to the foyer, “when you talk to Sam next, if she finds Kristina, will you ask her to call me.”
“Yeah, I will.” Maxie leaned in, giving him a friendly kiss on the cheek. “Good luck Michael, you’re one of the few people who I believe truly deserves it.”
“Thanks Maxie, just so you know, I feel the same way about you.”

Michael put his air pods in and he set his running playlist as he made his way through the park. It had been weeks since he’d gone running, breathed in the floral scents of the park, passed the tree he once beat in anger. Not his proudest moment, but oddly not his worst.
“On your left.” The cheerful voice called out before passing him.
Michael’s eyes took in the fit woman in front of him, her running clothes clinging to her curves. Her blond ponytail swaying back and fourth as she moved through the park.
He’d never seen her before, then again it had been a while since he’d been out on this trail.
“Damnit!” the voice cried out after turning a corner.
Michael moved faster to catch up, finding her clutching her ankle, “You okay?”
“Yeah, I rolled my ankle. Probably just need to ice it.” She accepted his help up. “Thanks.”
“General Hospital is just across the street, please let me help you over. At least get it checked out to be sure it isn’t something worse.”
“It’s that close?” She looked around, “I hadn’t realized. If you don’t mind.”
“It’s no trouble at all. I’m Michael by the way.” He gave her a soft smile.
“Nice to meet you Michael, I’m Serena.” She leaned against him, as he led her through the path which took them right to the emergency room for General Hospital.
“Do you want me to stay?”
“Thanks, but um, I can call my Dad if it’s bad.” She bit down on her lower lip as she started towards the door before looking back, “Thanks Michael, maybe I’ll see you again.”
“Yeah, maybe you will.” He gave the first easy smile he’d had in months as he backed away from the door. Maxie had been right a run had been a good idea.

We've been saying this for a while.
Riverdale > GH.
Riverdale and General Hospital are really sharing some notes.
Serial Killer with a missing hand (most likely self inflicted)

If it's sonny it's totally okay, if it's anyone else hell no! This show really needs a reality check.
Okay Carly so it’s okay for Sonny throw his blood money into charities but Ava can’t do the same ? God I hate Carly when she’s with Sonny.

Steve Burton did not return to General Hospital to play anyone other than Jason Morgan.
He is not  Nikolas Cassadine.
He is not AJ Quartermaine.
He is not Zander Smith.
He is not Logan Hayes.
He is the one, the only Jason Morgan.

Pulling out Stone to remind us that Sonny was a decent enough person once a upon a time isn’t gonna erase the decades worth of horrendous shit he’s done since then from my memory.

What about all the screen time the doomed pairing of Carson get? Just imagine how many other couples/stories would have a chance with that screen time.
I really wish the writers would stop wasting Screentime on Doomed pairings like Valentin an Nina or Jordan and Curtis. There are lots of other things going on that they could use to fill up time and I’m just tired of these Relationships. I mean, maybe if they ever actually did something with them that was Interesting… But they don’t.

And this man is the moral compass of this show. How fucked up is that?
Last time Sonny was at something at the Quartermaines, he fucked Ava in the Quartermaine family tomb, just inches from AJ’s crypt. He fucked his youngest son’s girlfriend in the tomb that housed his older son’s bio dad’s body…..

The only way Sonny leaves the mob is if he dies. But then it'll be "DO IT FOR SONNY!"
I don’t believe for a second that Sonny will leave the mob he loves the power too much.

If Sonny has the right to kill Ava for being partially responsible for what happened to Morgan then Monica has the right to kill Sonny for causing the deaths of two of her kids.

Because for some reason they act like Maurice is the boss and he doesn’t want Sonny to be seen as horrible.
Their should be people in this town desperate to end the mob reign. Their should be protests outside the coffee shops/carts, I just can’t believe the people of Port Charles would roll over and let Sonny fill the town with violence.
Why do people on this show not see that Sonny is a horrible person ?

I keep waiting for Kiki to turn out to be Nina's.
For the love of god and the sake of viewers sanity just give Nina a kid and a family!! That is hers?! Just do what they do with Sonny all the time? Just pop a teenager, young adult, in town for Nina? Please.

Guza wasn’t fired because of the fans and neither was Ron. If the fans could really get a head writer fired, then Guza would’ve been fired a decade before he was, Dena Higley never would’ve had multiple stints at  Days of our Lives, and hell Jean never would’ve been anywhere NEAR a GH script.
JFP got buddy buddy with Garin Wolf during the writers strike. Guza got harder for her and Frons to manage so when they had a chance they finally let Guza go and put Wolf in.
Maurice and Nancy were not exactly happy with the direction GH was taking under Ron, you know away from them. They basically got a good chunk of cast on their side to go to Frank and say Ron has to go.They had an ally in Nathan Varni aka Frons 2.0 who did not get along with Ron.
SoThis Makes Three(3) Head Writers The Fandom Has Gotten Fired/Run Off

They try really, really hard not to show it. You'll notice a lot of the time Sonny is sitting when Michael comes around or he's sitting while Sonny talks.
