Sada

Lesbian - non-man loving non-man

Intersex - people born with sex characteristics that don't fit typical binary notions of male or female

Demigirl - a person whose gender identity is partially female and nonbinary

Aroace - little to no sexual and romantic attraction

Lithsexual/Akoisexual - who experiences sexual attraction to people but has no desire to have those feelings reciprocated, also stands for someone who does not like to receive sexual contact but may be happy to give it

Turo

Gay - non-woman loving non-woman

Bisexual - someone attracted to more than one sex

Aroace - little to no sexual and romantic attraction

Arven

Pansexual - attraction to all genders without preference

Genderfluid - a gender identity that changes over time, or in different situations, rather than being fixed

Penny

Trangender - your gender identity doesn't match your birth sex

Bisexual (romantic wise) - someone attracted to more than one sex

Omnisexual (romantic wise) - attracted to individuals of all genders but with a preference

Unlabeled (gender wise) - you don't have a label that fits you

Asexual - little to no sexual attraction

Lusamine

Defending Sada/Turo from Pokemon

Okay, I get it. We all have different views on the Scarvio professors. You can have different opinions of them. But what you can't do is twist their canon character into making them far worse than they are.

Because it is all about context.

(Granted, I'm gonna be mentioning Sada a lot more, since a lot of people have made outrageous claims against her, yet don't mention Turo despite them being the same character. Even though I mention Sada, I am talking about both professors.)

Also, this isn't an attempt to justify what they did. This is more of a way to explain why they did the things they did, rather than saying "They're terrible people and deserves to die."

"Sada didn't care that Arven got hurt! She ignored him when his Mabosstiff got hurt!"

SHE WAS DEAD.

What can you do at that point?! And if we're going off the idea that Sada died at the beginning of the game, when Koraidon flew out of Area Zero, then yeah. But the thing is, we don't know why she didn't help him. Was she dead? Was she intentionally ignoring him? We don't know, because the game never tells us.

"She gets angry if we mention anything other than her research at the crystal pool-"

WHEN?? WHERE??? If anything, she looks somewhat remorseful at the mention of her son. You can watch the scene again, there is not a HINT of anger in her expressions, her words.

"She neglected Arven and nearly doomed Paldea!!"

Okay, I can agree on that point. Neglect isn't okay, and even with the context she was trying to make a paradise for her and Arven, she still neglected him. Good intentions, yes, but still not okay. Now if she neglected him on purpose (ex: Giovanni with Silver), then yes, that would be a completely different scenario. Obsession is a harmful thing and it can distract you from what's important.

If you're gonna make an analysis post about her character, maybe it's not a good idea to be calling them names and such. Just a thought.

First off, it's an au. Second, I acknowledge that my versions of them are different than canon. I can hate on MD Turo all I want, but I can acknowledge that level of hate shouldn't be directed at the canon versions. And even if someone has an AU where they're good parents, you shouldn't be hating on them and mischaractizing that AU version of them when it's not your AU. If they're good parents in a AU, appreciate that. Not saying that they starved or hit Arven or anything like that.

Anyways here's your Human Sada finding happiness in her family headcanons. Not proofread.

I was going to start this off with a whole long hypothetical about how she could've survived but honestly it's just a lot easier to start sooner. Let's say she manages to live through the accident in research lab four and is able to contact outside of Area Zero for help. They come in and take her away so she can recover. Whether the other stuff in Area Zero with the AI in the time machine still happens is up to you since it doesn't really matter for the rest of this. Personally I like to this AI Sada is out there living her best life.

So Sada is outside of Area Zero for the first time in what feels like years. She'd been down there for so long, pushing herself further and further into her obsession, that regular Paldea felt almost foreign to her. As did interacting with other people. I can't assume having very little contact with other humans outside of an AI you created to be a replica of yourself would be the best for your mental state.

And then you show up. Her beautiful partner, the one who came into her life after the divorce, after Arven's father left, filling the whole he left in her heart, filling the role left behind in Arven's life. Not the step-mom, the mom who stepped up. Sorry. It's not that she forgot about you. God, she never could. But she hadn't seen you in so long, hadn't felt you, seen you in the flesh rather than on a screen. When even was the last time you both talked about something other than her work..?

You came to see her alone, having been filled with worry upon hearing the news. And the same thoughts running through her head were also running through your own. It had been so long since you had seen her last. Neither of you say anything at first, just drinking in the other, before you all but collapse onto her hospital bed, desperate to feel her. To know that she was real.

You take the time (after the initial crash of emotions) to just sit and talk, telling her all about what's been going on. How and what you've been doing, about Arven, about new developments in the region, anything your mind can think of. And all throughout, Sada sits there, just listening, feeling her heart break. What had she been doing all this time? She hadn't been there for you, for her son... How could she bring you both paradise by abadoning you? Leaving you behind?

She decided then that once she recovers, she'll distance herself from the Area Zero project. She'd go back to the crater to shut everything down and then come back. Return to life as it should have been, as a small family. With all three of you there.

Scenario mostly over. Before she's released, Arven comes to visit her, and it takes all of her will power not to cry. He was so big, he'd grown so much, and she managed to miss it all. It hurt, but she felt as though she had no right to cry, the pain she was in was surely no match compared to the pain she had caused him. She does cry a bit when he leaves, despite her best effort.

Then, she does as she said she would. She returns to Area Zero to wrap things up. Turning off the time machine, taking her belongings, and handing the rest of the clean up off to other people (mainly so we can get to the rest of the headcanons). You can't help but worry a bit when she's gone. She had promised time and time again that she would come visit before, only to never show up. But you had to have faith that this time things would be different. And they were.

Returning to life outside of the crater was... a struggle for her. She had spent her every waking moment working towards her goals, spiraling further and further into her obsession, and now she had nothing to do. It takes her awhile before getting back into work, and during that time she tries to get into whatever she can, simply to avoid doing nothing.

She spends most of her time with you and Arven, desperate to make up for lost time. She feels at peace with you around, doesn't mind doing nothing when you're there with her. She feels like a school girl, her heart racing at simple hand holding, her feet kicking at a small peck. It's ridiculous, she feels ridiculous, she's a grown woman with a mostly grown son, but she can't find it in herself to hate it.

Spending time with Arven is... a bit more awkward. Especially at first. Sada loves him more than anything, but she was gone for so long, for such huge chunks of her life. Despite what she told herself, that she was working in the crater for him, to find paradise for him and you, for her family, she really did just abadon him, leaving him to be raised by you for years.

There's a learning curve for the both of them, Sada trying her best to relate to him without pushing too hard, Arven learning to let her in... Having you around helps to mediate. And maybe they never quiet settle into a completely comfortable relationship, maybe they'll always have a bit of awkwardness lingering in their conversations, but they both do care for each other, want to be close with the other, and so maybe it isn't so bad.

This is where I get to unleash my personal favorite Sada headcanon, that idea that she would be a proffesor at Naranja if she wasn't in the crater. She is a proffesor after all, she knows her stuff. Orginally I was going to say she could teach history, but Raifort exists and I would never want to step on her toes. Maybe she teaches social studies, it doesn't matter. I just want her to be there.

Just... she can embarass Arven if she is. That's why I love it. I do believe she'd be a good teacher, and it gives her something to fill her time and day, not as much as her Area Zero research, but that's for the best. Just because she's used to and endless work ethic, working her every waking minute, doesn't mean it was good for her.

Anyways, she loves her son and everyone knows. She has the photo of him as a kid with Maschief on her desk, and she loves to talk about him, and she talks about you, and she has a picture of you on there as well. Maybe she'd get one of the both of you, or even a cute family photo of you all. Also, people would call her hot, and would tell Arven that his mom is hot, and he would die inside. Sada would think it's funny.

She comes to enjoy this slower paced life. Teaching during the day, lesson planning in the evening, and coming home and spending time with the love of her life and her incredible son in the evening. The first time she comes home to you and Arven cooking dinner together, her heart just abouts explodes. This is what she was missing all this time, the sweet taste of domesticity... This is where she was meant to be, and the fact that she couldn't see that before just goes to show how foolish she was.

Of course, there are times where she has her off days, where she beats herself up for having been gone for so long, for having left you and Arven behind. Days where she hates herself, knowing full well that she would still be away from you both if she hadn't been forced away from the crater due to injury, still justifying her absence. Ignorant to the way she was hurting you both. Or maybe she knew all along, but was desperatly running away from it. And maybe she doesn't deserve to be forgiven for all that she's done, but she'd be damned if she didn't try her hardest to earn it (you and Arven love her already).

But as long as she's allowed to be with you both, she'll be able to work through it. As long as you are there, holding her as she's consumed by those thoughts, she'll be alright. She'll find that resolve to keep going forward, to be the woman you deserve, to be the mother that she should have been to Arven. And that, even if it's painful for her at times, is not something she would give up for the world.
