Hello, lovely members. As you all may have noticed, there has been a lack of updates today. Unfortunately, as it stands, it will be that way for a while from here on. After some extended discussion among the admod team, we have come to the conclusion that Corusco will be put on an indefinite hiatus. To summarize, a decrease in activity and personal problems overwhelming the staff in their real lives has led us to the decision for the well being of ourselves and our members.

Continuing, we would like to thank you all for sticking with us for eight wonderful months. Membership went far beyond our initial expectation. We all put a lot of heart and time into the roleplay, you all included, and we must stress that none of it was spent in vain. It was beyond fun watching you develop your characters, share your ideas, make new friends, and try new things in your writing. Thank you for allowing us to be a small part of your creative journey on Tumblr roleplay!

We wish it could have been for a longer, extended time, but, sadly, the timing is off, at the moment. To our new members, thank you for your effort and choosing Corusco to spend some time at even if it was short. Additionally, even though the main will not be active anymore, you're all free to continue writing threads on your blogs for as long as you like.

Closing off, as admins, we would like to give you some of our own personal words for all of you!

For all of you who joined and stayed the entire 8 months, thank you. For those who joined halfway through and beyond, thank you. This community that we started could not have been made possible without all of you! Thank you for all the laughs and good times in the Discord server and on the dash. I'm honored to have been a part of your lives and those of your characters, and thank you for enjoying Nathaniel through all of his antics (and mine)! I'm really blessed to have met all of you and I hope we run into each other again. Though I'll be busy with my personal life for a while, any of you are free to message me on my Discord at any time or ask for it though Nate's blog which I'll be logging into every once in a while still. Hello dear members! I feel it’s the first time I have talked to all of you as a serious admin. But now that this time has come, I feel I need to be a bit serious to show my gratitude for you guys. To everyone who has joined us throughout the eight months, thank you. I couldn’t have asked for a better community that kept growing beyond my expectations. Despite I was not incredibly active, I hope you enjoyed having me around as Peter and his mun. It was fun seeing how everyone interacted and made this place somewhere we could all rp comfortably. Whether you joined since day one or you joined later in the end it doesn't quite matter because to me every single one of you were like a family member to me. I cherished the time I spent with everyone and I certainly had a lot of fun here! I made a lot of great memories during this eight months and though I feel a bit bad that we're closing right after the eight-month anniversary, frankly put it's an important year in school for me and I am the sort of person who hates doing stuff halfheartedly. Everyone here deserves all when it comes to anything which happens here. Nonetheless, I'm glad that we placed time together to create this place. Contrary to what I did say, I did eventually join the community as a member and I'm sorry I kept it quiet but I sort of lost the timing. Oops! Who did I play? Everyone, yes even your muses I took them over while you were sleeping. You can feel free to guess for me! But anyways I hope that until we come back you will all enjoy yourself to the utmost with everything you have! If you're a student I hope you ace your studies and if you're in the workforce I hope that your work treats you well. Stay healthy! THANK YOU FOR 8 WONDERFUL MONTHS!

Hello everyone! We hope you have been enjoying your time here at CORUSCO. Today is a special day, as it marks our eight month anniversary! The Admod team is more than exhilarated we have been around for so long and of course, it goes without saying that we couldn’t do it without the interest of everyone here. And although things have been slow with school resuming and summer coming to an end, we hope to see everyone comfortably carrying on with their schedules and taking good care of themselves!

Once again, thank you, everyone, for staying here for so long and we hope you will look forward to the many more events to come! If you have any suggestions for anything, or simply comments, feel free to message the Main!

sorry if you’ve posted this already, but on what day do classes start at hogwarts again? & will there be a back to school event type of thing? love u guys by the way!!

Hello, anon! Classes at Hogwarts will be resuming again on September 3rd, so every student should be returning to the school in the couple days beforehand to settle everyone into their dormitories. As for a back to school event, you will just have to wait and see soon. We have plenty up our sleeves!!

We are pleased to have you back for another year as an UPPER THIRD YEAR STUDENT at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. We sincerely hope your classmates in SLYTHERIN treat you well.

( THE HERITAGE )

old, wealthy, and ( part ) nobility had befitted to describe the pristine lineage that avery was born in. hailing from the slytherin bloodline, never for it to be stained with others. oftentimes, his family is respected and in several cases, feared upon for having connections to the ministry of magic—given the immense influence the members presented. as being highly prominent to the relations in koldovstoretz which his cousins attended and being part royalty. they were somehow, and eminently related to the notorious king konstantinov. now, this was only the start for the only son of the konstantinov’s.

late evening, halloween, twenty-one years back noted his birth into the manor. they were simply delighted of his arrival as the father had already foreknow for a fact that their offspring would be the heir and preferably the patriarch of the house. nonetheless, perseus jung disregarded his disposition and laid out countless of possibilities, never ending teachings, and high anticipation for the “prince” of the family.

he was, indeed the epitome for perfection. there were no room for error and failure.

born in the moscow, russia. raised in between paris and seoul, as a child, avery had been absolutely keen to travelling, a glint of avidity was present on his big brown eyes as he awaited. he was always looking forward to going back to either his mother’s hometown, birthplace or just voyage around the outskirts of their current home was. yet, the more years had passed, the sheer presence of magic was developed. and all is well when they decided that they chose to send him to durmstrang, a school that was spectacularly known for its reputation.

however, up until his fourth year there the family decided that it deemed best if they were to move for “certain” of reasons. which had not been a problem for the household as they were highly accustomed to it already. and when the sorting hat chose slytherin as his house, they had only smiled triumphantly when they learned in regards to the splendid news. indeed, the heir had uphold the prospects of preserving the bloodline, along with sustaining their pride, of course.

months later, he continues to excel and being one of the best out of all. it was only a matter of time before he graduates, with flying colours ( and keeping the family name indiscrete ). the young lad was looking forward to more friendships, adventures, and mysteries that laid ahead upon the remainder of his school years.

( THE PERSONA )

raised by a well rounded mixture of pureblooded elitists, one would’ve surmised the fact that avery is dissolved in such values and morality—well, he is not at all like that ( to some extent ) whereas he is actually lively of a person. a splendid revelation if they engage in a conversation with him. a person of loyalty, as the boy valued the firm tie whenever he’s with his companions ( and as long as housemates doesn’t cross him, of course ). cordial, as another word that would describe him. though, despite being young at age, he has been exposed to a recollection of events, thus ensuring that the past experiences developed his growth withal the alluring demeanor that he possess. uncommonly, he keeps an open mind to the ‘outer circle’ which he refers to the muggleborns and in some cases, halfbloods as well.

he does not despise them, not at all. as in comparison to what both of his folks had taught him, no. in fact, it came in as a form of fascination if he were to stumble upon them. a form of interest sparks inside of him, therefore he is eager to learn about their well beings. which explains why he is able to converse with some, even when his status ensures him that he is not to be seen with them.

on contrariwise, he deems as a proud slytherin because most of the traits had been instilled inside. burning with ambition, fueled with determination and a dash of devious side to him: it was the perfect recipe and product that came within the clan. however, he has a knack if he is faced with a dilemma. the twenty one year old has his own method of dealing with things and withal being confrontational as well. not to mention the clever antics, and the list of endless tricks up his sleeve. though, this only applies if he is needed to do so, if not, he doesn’t even bother to demonstrate the very acts of it.

a perfectionist, some might say. but it all came in natural for him. avery is a lover of knowledge, be it in various forms or fashion, the quarter veela truly adored learning which came in easy for him to grasp even the extension of a complex topic and such—his only disgrace is being headstrong of a person, calculating, and not being afraid to speak his mind out. in other words, blunt.

Hi there! Thank you for your question. With a lot of people between vacation and preparing to head back to school they're on Hiatus which has slowed things down. However, we still have quite a few posts a day on the dash every single day! I also know that there is constant plotting going on with the new members too so that's nothing to worry about. So I can say with certainty that there is reasonable activity going on for this time of the year and for a community that has been around for a while too!
