❛ … i am. ❜
querl had doubts of starman keeping his mouth shut. however, he also doubted that starman could say anything coherent enough for people of this century to make sense of.
❛ he had a small amount of medication that he took with him.
he was not meant to stay in the past this long. ❜
but situations change and plans change around them.
❝ okay- ❞
court nodded. she’d known, but bit back her immediate urge to blurt more questions.
❝ oh, so... does he get to go home soon? i know
he misses nura. ❞
she looked at him expectantly, after speaking, waiting for a confirmation or denial that thom would be allowed to return to the future soon.

❝ ah..yeah, ❞ guy replied, a little confused. of all the questions people had asked about his ring and how it worked, no one ever asked if it had a voice… ❝ i mean it has its own voice and ya can use it to communicate with other lanterns. ❞ guy furrowed his brows, holding his hand out.
❝ thanks. ❞ the word came out in a rush as she took his hand, turning it to examine the ring as best she could. it didn’t seem different than alan’s but it wasn’t like she could compare his to alan’s. ❝ so your ring is different from, like, john or kyle’s rings? is that right? what’s the distance on communication? ❞ court let go, brows furrowed as she shot him a curious look.

❝ So you’re from the Legion like Thom, right? ❞ Of course she already knew the answer, but it seemed courteous to ask before jumping straight into the deep end of questioning the poor guy. ❝ Not that I’m asking about the future. I mean, yeah, I’m curious, but this isn’t about that. Thom doesn’t really talk about the Legion or the future, if that’s... illegal? Question being: Thom’s said before that he’s not right in this time, 21st Century, so, I mean, is the medicine from your time not able to come back or... how does that work? ❞

windwtch . ( maxine hunkel)
“ Well, I’m not… um, feeling anything except a bruised ego. Then again, head injuries can take a couple of days to manifest any symptoms, though I’m… I’m not sure I should be telling you that, because it really doesn’t sound comforting at all. I’m— fine? I think I’m fine. ” Is rambling a symptom of a traumatic head injury, or is that just regular Maxine Hunkel-itis for you? She laughs softly as her eyes flick from Courtney’s own worried gaze to her hand, back to her face. “ Have your eyes always been that color? “
❝ Max. That most certainly is NOT comforting, you are 100% correct. ❞ She sighed, slowly releasing the breath she hadn’t realized she was holding before placing a quick peck on her girlfriend’s forehead. The thought of the label brought heat to her face and a quickened beat to her heart, which she quickly compartmentalized. This was not the moment to be Courtney Whitmore. This was Stargirl time, and Stargirl could handle. ❝ What color are you seeing? Because if you’re about to ask if my eyes have always looked like used dishwater, then yes. But if you’re seeing other colors, then I think it’s time to get Pieter involved. ❞
