AU idea: Herb Archer

Herb hears about the Tower of Frozen Waves from Peppermint and decides to go visit Sea Fairy. However, he needs someone to take care of his store while he's gone, and decides in a moment of absolute genius to ask the god of wind to help him. Wind Archer very much didn't want to leave the forest, but Millennial Tree Cookie saw this as an excellent opportunity for Wind Archer to socialise with cookies. Herb offered for Wind Archer to borrow his appearance so no one would recognise him, and Wind Archer just couldn't say no to the tree dad. Now commence the elaborate game of charades where Herb's friends notice somethings off about 'Herb'. Wind Archer just wants to go home.

You were currently being held in the arms of your father, being healed from your injuries. Millennial Tree Cookie looked at you with a hint of worry, something that you never wanted to see from his eyes.

“My child, you can be at ease, you know? Anything that troubles you I’m here for you, there’s nothing you need to feel you must hide from me.”

You did everything you could to avert his gaze, you hated the idea of doing something that would hurt your father. Little did you know that you being in pain would hurt him the most.

Dad I…I disobeyed you. You warned me of the dangers in the forest and I didn’t believe you. Now I’m hurt…and I can tell you’re hurt seeing me like this…

Millennial Tree Cookie’s went from shock, and immediately turned into a soft smile. Which…confused you a little.

“Little flower, while it haunts me seeing you in pain, I am more than relieved that you’re safe. And besides, there are so many friends and watchers of the forest, and they’ll keep you protected even when I can’t. I promise you, you’ll never have to worry again.”

You wiped your tears away as your father softly reassured you. He’s amazing at this, being able to comfort you even when you think you can’t be helped. Neither of you even realized that the wounds were completely healed as you enjoyed the softness of sitting together, the sounds of the birds and the prancing of critters being the only sounds you heard.

You loved Millennial Tree Cookie so much, and he loved you too, his sacred flower.
