As Google has worked to overtake the internet, its search algorithm has not just gotten worse.  It has been designed to prioritize advertisers and popular pages often times excluding pages and content that better matches your search terms 

As a writer in need of information for my stories, I find this unacceptable.  As a proponent of availability of information so the populace can actually educate itself, it is unforgivable.

Below is a concise list of useful research sites compiled by Edward Clark over on Facebook. I was familiar with some, but not all of these.

www.bioline.org.br is a library of scientific bioscience journals published in developing countries.

http://repec.org - volunteers from 102 countries have collected almost 4 million publications on economics and related science.

www.science.gov is an American state search engine on 2200+ scientific sites. More than 200 million articles are indexed.

www.pdfdrive.com is the largest website for free download of books in PDF format. Claiming over 225 million names.

www.base-search.net is one of the most powerful researches on academic studies texts. More than 100 million scientific documents, 70% of them are free

I've been rewatching parts of Naruto Shippuden, namely the start of the 4th Great Shinobi War Arc and the part where Gaara rushes to face Sasuke with Raikage...he completely runs off without his gourd...Kankurou has to grab it and chase after him while reprimanding him 😭😭...but then when they reach Sasuke's location, Gaara has his gourd on him again..........so I'm just thinking about and being emotional about these brothers

Ep. 49 of Beyblade season 1 has one of the craziest scenes EVER in my humble opinion.

Like, imagine you are rewatching the first season of Beyblade some 15-20 years later because it was your favourite show when you were a teenager and you get to the final match between Takao and Yuriy. You remember some scenes, you enjoy it, everything is fine.

Then you get to the scene where there are these men in suit and tie carefully watching the match, each one on his personal screen, with serious and somewhat concerned expressions, in a room that doesn't seem to have any windows letting some light in. And you are like "was this in the show 15 years ago??"

And then the US flag shows up and you realise it's like... the National Security Agency? The CIA? The fucking Pentagon??

And that's the freaking US President??? Watching a match of Beyblade? Feeling threatened by a Russian teenager??

And you, now an adult, are like:

I just realized that I'm really pissed at 2 things in Naruto that should have happened but never did and I just can't believe how the hell has it never happened.

1- Minato meeting Kakashi again at the war without telling him how proud he is of him especially after finding out that Obito was behind all of that mess and Kakashi could have drifted to that path too and had every right to do so but just never did. He also was watching the whole time through Naruto's seal and saw what that kind of despair did to Sasuke and Nagato too and so many others and yet he never said anything to Kakashi, never had a mentor/student touching emotional reunion moment with Kakashi like Asuma did with inoshikacho, it was just like Kakashi was just another Shinobi in that battlefield, and even though he admitted before his death that putting Kakashi in Anbu messed him up even more.

2- Kakashi died once and only met his father, no one else was waiting for him except Sakumo and then in the war Rin showed up again but we've never seen her being sorry or showing sadness or giving any F's at all about the fact that her decision to "Die by the hand of the one she loves" traumatized Kakashi for life or about the fact that he spent hours every single day from dawn to noon on her and Obito's grave for about 20 years, about all the nightmares she caused him, all the times he scrubbed the skin of his hand raw because he couldn't stop seeing her blood on it, all the time he saw her face whenever he saw a random girl passing by... But yet she was waiting for Obito after everything that he did and told him how proud she is of him and that he did well but she never wanted to tell Kakashi how proud she is of him or that he did well too?! She didn't wanna tell him that he shouldn't blame himself for her death?!! That it was never his fault?!! she saw all the hell he went through because of her decision and never felt the need to even give him the closure that he deserved!!.
