Appearance: Ace has the appearance of a young man. He wears a silk black vest over a white buttoned up shirt with the sleeves rolled up and long black pants, leather shoes and gloves. A white cloak on the side of his arm and black glasses attachted ti chains.

His eye colour is yellow with dilated pupils and black sclera. He also has a small scar on his lips. Under his eye is dark circles from lack of sleep.

He has medium white hair though he keeps it tied up. On his forehead are two small white horns and two larger wings on the side of his head. He has long white dragon tail at the base of his spine.

Hobbies: Chess(because william keeps having him play it, poker, killing(obviously), baking pastries.

Likes: Strawberry spronge cakes, his family, warm weather, sleeping, wine, cats.

Dislikes: cold weather, loud noises, losing, anything with coconut or mint, coffee, spiders.

Fun facts:

Shadow’s arachnophobia started when he accidentally poke a egg sac causing millins of spiders babies to crawl out traumatising him.

He is really good at chess but only when drunk.

He loves to sunbathe in the garden on sunny days.

He is a terrible swimmer.

He says he likes shakespear but has never read it before.

He is actually based off a dragon because dragons are known for greed and ace made a deal with mammon, prince of greed.

Ace’s Backstory

Warnings : Mentions of gambling, death, blood and angst.

Ace Thatcher is a 28 year old man caring for his 8 year old sister, Lily. There mother had died due to childbirth cimplications and their father was in jail due to stealing. From birth, lily’s immune system was weak and the doctors believed she wouldn’t live for very long. So shadow worked day and night to afford the expensive medical bills. Unfortunately, one day shadow was fired from his work for constantly turning up late and taking time off. Both medical and house bills starting piling up and a desprate shadow turned to gambling. Unlucky with machines, he tried the poker tables. He won first try but believed it was beginner luck, the rest of the night he continued to win. At the end, he had earned enough for him and lily to live comfortably for awhile and afford any major medical bills but sadly, shadow had developed a gambling addiction.

He got so obssesed that he start learning all the tips and tricks on poker. Every weekend, he would go to the casino to play and would walk out pockets full. He would spoil lily with whatever she wanted from toys to dresses. Unfortunately for lily, her illness worsened and she needed serious surgery but the price was too high. So shadow turned to gambling once again. This time though, he lost for the first time, not just the game but all the money. He tried scraping together money but wasn’t able to get enough. Unable to afford the surgery, lily unfortunately passed away.

In dispair, shadow lost sleep and only found joy in the thrill of gambling. One night, he overheard about how the oppenent he lost against actually cheated. This made shadow furious, he lost his sister because this man cheated. Unfortunately, his desire for revenge attracted the greed demon, Mammon, who offered power inexchange for his soul. Determined for revenge, he accepted. Police found the cheating guy dead the next day, stabbed in the chest with something thin and sharp. In the wound was a single ace of spade card.

Ace now targets people who don’t follow the rules of gambling, killing anyone who thinks he can cheat him, while loyally serving mammon and bringing him new greedy souls.

Ace’s Headcannon’s

1. Ace dosen’t know how to play chess but secretly teaches himself so he can play with his boyfriend, Chessmaster.

2. Ace is in a secret eyeless club with Eyeless jack and Lulu where they talk about their missing eye/s.

3. Ace is very dependent on his tail, using it to grab everything and to balance with.

4. Ace using very sharp metal cards to ki// his victim’s.

5. Ace loves to be the little spoon when cuddling.

6. Ace still gets very shy and blushes when chessmaster kisses him.

7. Ace has a sweettooth but hates anything with mint or coconut.

8. Ace is extremely unlucky at gambling machines, he has never won over $10 at a single one.

9. Ace has terrible vision due to his missing eye and is constantly tripping or bumping into things.

10. Ace loves cold showers, this is the reason why chessmaster has refused to shower with him anymore.

Scary, My god you’re divine

Lately, Ace has been feeling insecure about his horns and tail. Luckily, His supportive boyfriend, William (chestmaster), is there to help him feel better. (Yes, the title is inspired by the song, Diet Mountain Dew, by Lana Del Rey.)

Ace laid on his bed, staring at the antique clock on his desk next to him. He mindlessly shuffled a deck of cards in his hands, thinking heavily. It was another one of those days where he felt insecure about his appearance. His small horns poked out through his messy black hair, two grey little nubs. His tail was even worse, he couldn’t even look at it as it coiled tightly around his leg. Not that he could due to missing an eye. He traced a finger around the edge of his gaping wide eye socket, feeling the slick blood on his skin. Ace sighed heavily and buried his face in his pillow wanting everything to go away. He heard the door open and someone walking in before sitting on his bed.

Peeking up, he saw it was his boyfriend, William Dwight. Also well known as chestmaster. William didn’t say anything, just gently stroked ace’s head. Ace liked this, he prefered the comfort of silence then awkwardness. After a few minutes, william spoke. “Is there something bothering u, my darling queen?”, he asked ace, patiently waiting for a response. “I’m fine. I just- i dunno.”, Ace answered back weakly. There was silence before ace got up to look at william. “D-do u think i’m scary?” Ace asked him, unable to look him in the eye. “Scary, my god you’re divine”, William said sincerely, pulling him into a hug. “I love every part of u”, William whispered into his ear.

The two of them laid on the bed together, cuddling up together. Ace clung to william, afraid this was a dream and he would fade away. The room fell silent, apart from the ticking of the antique clock. Inbetween them, a single red heart card rested.
