How to play Project Diva X...with friends!

so I made up this fun way to play Project Diva X on PS4 in a “local multiplayer” -like fashion, so I thought i’d share it with yall in case you’ve got a vocasquad ya wanna play-jam with.

Players needed: 3 minimum. Multiples of 3 recommended (6, 9, 12, etc.). (The more people there are, the more competitive it is!)

Sort everyone into teams of 3 people. Once teams are decided, team 1 should be situated closest to the TV monitor.

Start a Festival.

Choose which 3 songs to play (can be decided via most votes out of everyone in the room, but if it turns out the same few songs are being demanded, then this can be decided individually by each of the 3 players.)

All songs must be played on Extreme difficulty.

Stage randomized.

Each of the 3 players selects a VOCALOID character to “play” as.

Pass the controller around the room. One person dresses up the first VOCALOID with 4 accessories. A different person dresses up the second VOCALOID. A third person dresses up the third VOCALOID. (you end up with some real funny shit– like Kaito in a speedo wearing a bard hat, swirly glasses, and a pink bunny tail…it’s fun!) (If only 3 people are playing, don’t pass the controller and just decide accessories individually.)

Pass the controller back to the 3 elected players up front. 

Player 1 plays the first song, then quickly passes the controller to Player 2, sitting next to them. Player 2 then passes the controller to Player 3 when their song is done. 

The goal is to pass the Festival through the 3 players’ teamwork. If they fail, they are disqualified and they do not play again. If they pass, a new 3 players are brought in and the previously winning team plays again if the other teams pass too. Ultimately, you should have 1 team of 3 people as champions! (If only 3 people are playing, obviously there are no teams to compete against, but it can still be fun to try and pass a completely ridiculous Festival!)

блять (blyat’) - fuck ёб твою мать (yob tvoyu mat’) - literally it does mean “fuck your mother”, but we use it figuratively when we are frustrated or angry, because things just went south.
