In February 2020, a lady called me after she had called @lasparklagos to make enquiries as regards the purchase of Costus spectabilis seedlings but got my phone no. Enlightening students and teacher's of Ansar ud deen Girls High School; Itire, Lagos, on the Costus spectabilis "Nigeria's national plant"... Students learn that colour of Costus spectabilis "Nigeria's national plant" is yellow and not red as contained in Civic education textbooks in use or as in use by government. Student's plead with govt to make corrections to the Coat of Arms and their curriculum through the appropriate ministry. They say it's nice to be acquainted with our national plant.
