Watched the Folding Ideas video last night about the deceptive geocentrism documentary that tricked a bunch of physicists into being on it, and was left laughing over the fact that there is a guy out there whose two huge problems with the modern Catholic Church as a tradcath himself are the fact that he thinks Vatican II was wrong about the Jews and that he's pissed the church pardoned Galileo.

What a fascinating inner life this man must lead

Hold up seriously? People like actually think cloud's father is like the shit (positively)?

The whole joke here is that he never showed up and you know nothing about him, so the joke was ironic. I should have put a tone indicator, but I probably made the assumption it was clear based on my usual sense of humour which when I say like oh this person is top tier parent it's sarcastic

But for real a. Cloud is a splitting image of Claudia and b. The flashbacks we get of Claudia I watch and it and she feels like such a good presence like it feels warm and so nice.

Claudia's fucking amazing and so now I'm genuinely baffled that people think that the great hero cloud became to be is because of his father?

Like my own parent's merits my own father gave me a Wii once for Hanukkah and that's pretty much it but we somehow we have even less than that to work with when it comes to the merits of cloud's dad

So people on reddit are like oh remake/rebirth sucks because they got rid of the build up and mysterious nature of Sephiroth

But do they see the reason why? Like this worked in the OG because it wasn't common knowledge in regards to Sephiroth's whole schtick, it worked because you didn't know the story.

Why would you go this route a second time when people know what to expect, it's like telling a joke with a ton of set up but the person you are telling it to already knows the joke and the set up and the punchline

I think shinra would change their logo for pride month because they believe in equality in that everyone is expendable and exploitable,that everyone has worth in the eyes of R&D for experimentation purposes and are firmly against discrimination because who cares about what's in their pants when you can rob every gil from their pockets
