Connected two dots that absolutely are not there and now I inflict it on all of you:

I was thinking about the White Gloves and how they have cooks in their basement kitchen blasting Brahmin with flamers to roast them

Then I thought about how the White Gloves were, historically, cannibals

Which made me realize, there’s only one other NPC in the game who both uses a flamer to cook shit and is also an aggressive cannibal:

Cook-Cook.

So now I’ve all but convinced myself that Cook-Cook very well could’ve been a member of the Proto-White Gloves before House took the strip back over and banned them from cannibalism, which caused him to fuck off to the west and join up with the Fiends so he could keep indulging in human meat

(My other piece of evidence is admittedly flimsier, but it’s the fact that he’s the only Fiend in the game who, instead of wearing the fiend helmet, wears a mask that covers his whole face (much like the modern White Gloves and possibly Proto-White Gloves))

Care to share a bit about Cicero? I found him through searching for inspiration for my own Legion oc and he's just *chef's kiss*

Hear me out- Forgot about this ask!! Sorry!!!

Anyways,

Cicero is my Legion oc who is a frumentarii as well. He was originally caught by the Legion as he was doing some work in Northern Arizona, and was forced into the Legion instead of being killed because he had a lot to offer- knowing multiple languages, knowing the area very well, knowing how to repair a lot of things ranging from radios-> weapons, and his strength.

He originally was with the Legion for a short while before he made a run for it back to Mexico, where he hid out for a few years. He came back for work into Nevada, unaware of how far the Legion had got and how close to NCR territory they were, and he was recognized and recaptured by the Legion.

They branded him, so he wouldn't be able to run + hide again, cut his hair, and put him through multiple methods of torture just to break him down, and he was made a frumentarii so Vulpes could keep a close eye on him and what he did in and out of camp. Cicero doesn't WANT to be in the Legion, but over time starts to accept his position and the situation, and starts to do more to attract the attention and approval of Caesar and Vulpes, giving him more purpose that isn't just "survive day to day in the mojave" but rather to become one of the more higher achieving legionaries, a realistic goal he could work toward.

thinking about how living in the atomic wrangler would effect the kids perceptions on romance. Like this young man who is essentially relearning how to live life after being shot in the head, gets his first stable job and home at a cheap casino.

Like the kid is a gentle soul ( if you forget his itchy trigger finger for a second ), like i'm imagining him surrounded by all these working girl day in and day out and instead of being sleazy there all just coworkers. Like he makes coffee for everyone in the morning and makes sure everyone has the outfits they need for the day, and in turn the girls all trust the kid to keep them safe, and by god if you do something wrong with the girls the kid will rush you down, beat you up, and throw you out before you can even pull your pants up.

all this too say I feel like the kid would get used to "sexy" and "seductive" types, like he is still easy to fluster for sure. but if you showed him genuine affection or confessions of love i think he would faint on the spot.
