Hey everyone! As you might have noticed, your admod team has been a little absent lately, from the roleplaying side of things. We’ve been ridiculously busy in our regular lives, and unfortunately, that’s meant we’ve had to sacrifice the fun parts of roleplaying in order to be able to keep up with adminning the sight. And it turns out that is a really easy way to get burned out. As a result, we’ve been slowly losing muse and passion for Coven, which is a huge bummer for us and is unfair to you, our members. Because of this, after a lot of thought and consideration, we’ve decided to call Coven quits for now. It breaks our hearts to do this, but we hope that with a little time off, maybe we can come back and really do Coven justice. Its been a crazy ride these past 2 1/2 months and we so appreciate and love all of you for sticking by us! If you’d like to keep roleplaying with you accounts you of course are allowed to do so!

Do applications sent in on days other than Saturday get processed on Saturday?

Applications are processed as they are sent in, marked either reviewing, messaged, or nothing. If there’s no note beside an app it’s been accepted and they will be officially added to the lists and bios will be posted on Saturday.

are familiars of the same affinity able to understand each other when they are in their familiar form? or is it like all familiars can understand each other when in familiar form

Familiars cannot understand one another in familiar form beyond guessing at body language or responding to basic sounds of distress/etc.

is necromancy a thing? and aside from the air familiars, how do your general student encounters spirits/ghosts/death? can they /see/ them as it happens in hp or is more like just a sensation, etc.?

Nope! All possessed powers are listed on the affinity pages. Regarding spirits and ghosts, they are not visible to muses (unless stated explicitly in a prompt given by the admod team, though this has not occurred yet we won’t eliminate the possibility entirely). Thus, in terms of your muse’s history and present rping, they would maybe realize something was Off or witness poltergeist-y actions when it is denoted (such as in danger prompts) or have a general sensation of strangeness around them. There are also some low scale ghost features you can incorporate on the locations page, such as the ghostly sounds in the ballroom and belltower attic.

Hello, could you give me some kinds of muses you'd like to see? I know this has been asked before, but it seems like you already have most of that kind of muses?

We’d love to see more muses with an interest in the mechanics of magic, more muses with political families that they may or may not be rebelling against, more muses with less dramatic backgrounds - like maybe some regular people born to regular families who wake up one day realizing oh my gosh I’m a fox right now??? Over all, we need more positive or perhaps neutrally minded people - we’ve got a lot of dark and angsty badasses that need balancing out!

Hi, I was wondering how welcoming the rp is?

Hmm, well, hopefully we’re very welcoming! I know I personally welcome everyone that comes in, and I know that of the last round of acceptances, many people’s ooc introductions mentioned being happy to have so many messages and welcomes, so I think we must be doing alright !!

all such good faces!! it’s hard for me to add input when all of them are so cute, though i’ve consistently seen people asking for gfriend members in replies to mwf faces, so i’ll cast my vote for sinb (though nayeon is also super cute!!)

as far as ioi goes i’ve seen chungha, jieqiong, yoojung, and sejeong all mentioned! i’m going to be very unhelpful and say that i’d love to see either chungha, yoojung, yeri or naeun personally, though i think i have seen one member asking for a yeri recently if that helps. if anyone wants to help narrow down anons choices just add your answer below!

Does the school have any form of hospital wing (definitely imagining Hogwarts here, I admit)? Or does injured students go to water witches for healing?

there is a hospital wing in the school that has trained nurses and staff (similar to hogwarts). admittedly though, there are quite a lot of water witches and familiars working there! ;>
