What a amazing woman my wife , yesterday was her anniversary to her accident very emotional, my super woman. I thought I’d share what she wrote yesterday on a post she made , have a great day y’all............(Today marks 20 years of my DWI crash! The man that crashed in to me had four prior DWIs! Only spent three years in prison comparing to my lifetime imprisonment on this wheelchair! Many don't understand the struggles I endure daily, and get upset when I don't meet their standards. I've learn to adapt and just simply ignore the criticism . I always mention to people the day you fall in my shoes, you'll understand why the struggle is real. One of my conversations with my grandson Jonathan, he asked why can't I move my legs, I explained to him in the simplest way a six year old could understand. Good to say I wasn't sad when I explained this to him! I'm not feeling sad today, after twenty years, I finally have a reliable vehicle that I can get off and on on my own with no need of anyone accompanying me to places. I am so thankful to GOD that I'm here with an amazing husband that is my biggest support , our beautiful 92 year old Mom, my Lucas and spending time with my other 6 grandchildren! The biggest thank you and praise goes to our amazing God for guiding me to be a humble, public servant to the beloved City of Anthony as Mayor and now Commissioner to Dona Ana County District #2! Thank God for giving me another chance to be in this Earth living a peaceful, simple life with the ones I love!! ♥️.) Nothing can be as strong then the bond ,and love as true, then that of a parent and there child. It really holds true with the love of theses two amazing people Robert and Precilla Nieto cilla for there son Patrick who passed away. The Nieto family it trusted me to make a memorial cross for a Christmas present, which was presented to Mrs Nieto, and she love it.
