was re-reading group chat and was reminded that fae just Know people's pronoun situation without needing to ask, and remembered that pre-transition polly was the only ""boy"" lila ever had a crush on, which leads to my question, would logan also have thought of pre-transition polly as a girl, even if he wouldn't be able to explain Why? do fae know you're trans before you do.

when a persons pronouns dont match up with their closeted gender identity, or theyre deliberately using pronouns that upset them most fae are Extremely Weirded Out by this. they perceive as the human somehow, inexplicably, bafflingly, granting the fae the ability to lie about their gender and pronouns. like some kind of bizarre godparent gift and for seemingly no reason. they react like the trans person in question has performed some kind of devastating magic spell on them

however Logan, because he was raised human and is familiar with the concept of the closet, basically just gets a mental push notification that says "🫵 egg"

gem is a dimension hopper she is fully aware of the mcyt multiverse she also has many diffrent outfits and vibes depending on the dimension with these diffrent outfits and vibes come differnt hybrids and scars meaning that sometimes skyblock gem is confused why she dosent have butterfly wings and life series gem forgot she could fit through the normal door because she didnt have antlers and sometimes hermitcraft gem wakes up looks in the water and is curious what happend to her corrupted eye

most other players are not aware of these diffrent worlds and versions of themselves meaning if they see gem get confused about what she is they just blame lack of sleep or stress because why else would gem duck under the door or forget to wear her elytra because "who needs it if i can already fly?"

AO3 does not live in “the cloud” because that is other people’s computers, and other people’s computers are vulnerable to censorship.

AO3 is on its own computers. It does still have to be housed somewhere, and I suppose a determined enough hater could try to find that place and go after it, but it’s a lot harder than sending spurious complaints to Amazon or whomever going “BadWrong things are hosted on your cloud service!”

Owning the servers is a core tenet of OTW/AO3.
