thinking about the fairy tale trope of a kiss from your true love having magical properties and how often these kisses are used to wake up characters who are asleep or in some state of suspended animation or give them back something they lost. thinking about fitz walking around half-forged and detached from his own emotions until the fool kisses him and gives him back all of those memories and emotions effectively “waking him up” again and giving him back something he’d lost. and by thinking i of course mean i am screaming incoherently.

FitzCivalry Farseer is SUCH a character. He has no memories of his parents, he has 3 adoptive parental figures, he has the abilities of two magic systems constantly used against eachother, he has bonded 2 dogs and a wolf, he had a brainswitch with his dying uncle so said uncle could sleep with his wife and produce an heir, hes traumatized to hell and back, hes an absent father, he has chronic pain, he gets along well with old people, hes a retired assasin, he accidentally spied on his ex giving birth to their child using magic, he is so so rightfully angry, everybody thinks hes dead, he is even a repressed bisexual!
