My eyelid gets twitchy whenever I see folks describe Firepaw's and Bluestar's dynamic as mother-son, like hmmm you can describe it that way if you want, but I do think there is a difference between a motherly dynamic and just a mentor that's a woman in a teaching position, ya know?
#i dont believe in the idea that mentors in the wc world are like parental figures#<- prev#This is my personal opinion but I don't see Yellowfang as Cinderpelt's mom#Yellowfang explicitly says she wished that Fireheart was her son but she never says anything like that about Cinderpelt#And when Cinderpelt misses her she still talks about Yellowfang mostly as her mentor#Not saying they aren't close but that doesn't necessary makes them mother and daughter#And while I'm on it Fireheart isn't Cinderpelt's dad
