Daryl: How long do you think it'll take?   Mango: I don’t know, three or four.   Daryl: Three or four what? Days? Weeks? Months?   Mango: Yeah, maybe five.   Daryl: Five what?!

Daryl: There's beer in the cooler.   Mango: What about for the children?   Daryl: You can get water from that water fountain and use it to water down the beer.   Brash: Why don't we just give the kids water?   Daryl, angrily: I suppose you could do that!

my stupid stupid au

ive been hyperfixated on this STUPID au for maybe two weeks but i just started drawing it out and i think its kinda silly so im gonna yap about it because i think thats what this app's for

basic premise of the au is "what if Daryl acted rational in book 5 and turned away from evil and actualy ended up retiring (DONT QUESTION HOW HE BECAME A CROCODILE AGAIN TRUST THE PROCESS) but trauma came back to haunt him and shit"

big part of it is that i hc daryl develops psychopathy due to the events of the prior books (the official definition of psychopathy is NOT being a murderous murderer or an arsonist and it is not an inherently bad trait, its just not being able to experience emotion on the same level as others, which can lead to them being perceived as creepy, or sometimes charming.) and i sure do love a good "accepting you will never be the person you once were" arc
