As most of you know, I am kind of a craft beer geek. I consider it a passion and have fallen in love with the culture, camaraderie and awesome beers that have risen from this industry. With that said, my brother and I, as well as a team of talented web gurus, have been spending the good part of this past year developing a project dedicated to the rising movement of trading beers. Although we are not quite ready for primetime, it is my honor to announce our latest venture into the craft beer world, BottleTrade. BottleTrade will be a website dedicated to beer trading amongst the craft community. We plan on launching our beta in the coming months but until then, why not get social with us? Give us a follow on Instagram (@thebottletrade), a follow on Twitter (@thebottletrade) or give us a "Like" on Facebook at www.facebook.com/bottletrade. Stay tuned for what will be the revolution in bottle trading!
Cheers!

Chinook, Centennial and Colombus hops have all been put into their grave. Now they just need to rise from the dead.

Last weekend's trip to Big Bear was one of the most beautiful winters I have experienced up there despite the horrific shootout that occurred later that week. This was the best way I found to chill our beers.

Homemade chicken tikki masala paired with Green Flash’s Friendship Brew. The sriracha infused masala pairs amazingly with the spices of this black saison.

Hess Brewing's Ex Umbris on nitro, a rye imperial stout that makes you wish you could take home a fermenter full of this stuff. Damn fine job from Hess.

Spent Wednesday night practicing with The Gore Horsemen and also tasting some midwest craft beer. Schlafly's Single Malt Scottish Style Ale, a 10.2% beast that had an insane smoked aroma and an agressive smoked scotch initial taste. It's definitely boozy and one of the most bold Scotch ales I have ever had. We all concluded, this will grow a 'fro on your balls.

Definitely geekin' out on this! BrewDog retweeted my #PosterDog submission and seem to like it. I call this piece, "Sharks Are Welcome," an homage to some damn fine beer from across the pond and a damn fine movie about a crazy mutha' fuckin' shark in a pond.

This is one of first black IPA's I ever got to try and it still holds up as being one of the best. Damn fine job from Alaskan.

Mother Earth Brewing's Kismet IPA. These guys are doing something special up in North County San Diego. This is their 7.2% Nelson hopped IPA. Incredible balance and aroma with this one. Must get more bottles.
