...Dude. That’s just the running joke Todd Haberkorn’s been using all throughout these outtakes - Natsu’s a horny bastard. No real rhyme or reason to it, it’s just a recurring gag. I mean, what happens if Todd makes the same kind of joke when Lisanna’s passing out the refreshments?

That said, Todd’s outtakes have me convinced Natsu is polyamorous/polysexual/whatever the word is. I mean, it just resonates with his canon character so well!

In this age of social media and the Internet as a whole, why do soulmate stories still exist?!

No, seriously! The whole premise of a soulmate story is that you have SOME sort of identifying mark on your body that is matched by your soulmate! I mean, if this sort of shit really existed, then there’s obviously gonna be a Facebook page or something for people to find their soulmates, and as soon as you find a match? BAM! You and your soulmate meet up and have your happily ever after!

I get that social media pretty much ruins all the drama, but it’s the only thing keeping me from taking the soulmates AU seriously as a genre of fiction.

To be fair, their opponent was no less than the PROGENITOR OF BASICALLY ALL THE WORLD'S CHAKRA, so you can imagine Sakura's doubt that the Sexy Jutsu of all things would have any effect on her.

Not that I care either way, but I'd be shocked if there was never any overlap in techniques between two members of a given clan. Also, Tsunade and Sakura's fighting styles just boil down to "punch it till it dies." Not a lot of room for variance on that (though I would've loved to see Sakura adapt the actual chakra part of the technique to kicks every now and again).

See, you talk about natural reactions, but conveniently leave out the KIND OF important detail that devastation at a close friend’s death is a natural reaction too. Remember, Natsu was already END because he was active during the effect of Dimaria’s Age Seal, an immunity that was the product of the Etherious powers granted to him by the tumor Brandish shrunk, then re-enlarged. Given that Zeref had wondered if Makarov’s death would be enough to drive Natsu to kill him, I feel confident in saying that, had it been, Gray, Erza, Wendy, whoever, he had found frozen in time without him realizing time had even stopped to begin with, END would likely have taken him over either way, and in fact, it was Erza stepping in between him and Gray that snapped Natsu out of his END-induced funk. Of course, that’s assuming you actually pay attention to the CANON narrative instead of propping up FANON ones.

So- let me get this straight.

1: The part where Natsu is “shocked” by her sudden hug and seems confused? 2: The part where Natsu is worn out and EXHAUSTED and losing all hope in defeating Hades before Lucy’s hug and the support of his other friends gives him strength to continue on, shown by him touching Lucy’s arm and smiling seconds after? 3: Lucy Ashley Hugging him to the point where he can’t breathe and is in pain, as well as confused over the fact that this Lucy is completely acting DIFFERENT from the Lucy he knows? 4: Being surprised by this scary Lucy suddenly seeming EXTREMELY worried and caring too?

Somehow means he doesn’t want to hug her and is trumped by him being EXTREMELY happy to see a friend who he thought has been DEAD FOR TWO YEARS - which is a completely, 100% natural response to, technically, seeing some one you deeply cared for while growing up, not actually being dead. (This,of course, being before he realized this wasn’t his guild and before he realized this Lisanna wasn’t his lisanna, only to then realize later that it was his Lisanna. cause you know, Edolas’ storyline.)

Nali is a cute pairing and I can see why tons of people ship it, but please don’t make assumptions over “natural” story plot devices that make absolute sense in context. That doesn’t prove “ship” or “not ship” in any sense of the matter. Also, the fact you’re ignoring many other scenes between BOTH pairings makes your assumption inaccurate and not plausible. 

So, let’s be nice and agree that both pairings are a-ok to those who want to ship them and not be jerks about it, kay?

I misremembered exactly when that scene took place. For some reason, I had it as after the Natsu’s Heart chapters rather than before. But the point stands either way.

So apparently, Lisanna denying feelings for Natsu to avoid being dragged into Touka and Juvia’s spat sinks NaLi, yet Lucy denying feelings for Natsu, even going as far as to explain her rationale before she’s cut off by him waking up… somehow doesn’t sink NaLu? What?

It’s exactly these kinds of double-standards that keep me from respecting NaLu shippers. I don’t care how much you love Lisanna, or how precious you think she is. If you’re gonna be a damn hypocrite with regards to ships, I’m not going to take you seriously. What applies to one side should apply to the other. That’s how objectivity works - same rules across the board.
